Murali Vijay is a very talented cricketer – MS Dhoni – Cricket News Update
The triumphant Chennai Super Kings' skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, on Saturday lauded opening batsman Murali Vijay calling him a “talented cricketer” who has the ability to be successful in the shortest format of the game.
"Vijay is a very talented cricketer. The kind of cricket he has been playing for us, he has been successful," said the Chennai skipper while speaking to the media reporters on the eve of their IPL final against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. "He
has got the right talent that is needed to be successful at this level," Dhoni added further.

a massive 86-run defeat in Friday’s qualifier to make it to the IPL final for a third successive time. Vijay’s pugnacious century knock, which came off just 58 deliveries, was laced with fifteen muscular boundaries and four lofty sixes.
Vijay, the 28-year-old right-handed batsman from Chennai, has had an unimpressive start to the season. Before Friday’s startling performance, he had played 12 matches with notable performances being 48, 41 and 36. The rest of the matches saw him faltering
for scores inside 15.
Dhoni revealed that after a series of poor performances from Vijay at the start of the season, the management had reprimanded the opener and asked him to go back to the nets and regain form, which ultimately paid off in Friday’s crucial match.
"When he started for us, he did not do really well and in between we gave him rest for quite a few games," Dhoni told the media persons at the pre-match press conference.
"I advised him to go to nets and express himself and if you do not bat the way you have been we’ll not back you. He responded very well. He took few sessions in right stride and got back to his usual rhythm," he added further.
The Super Kings will be hoping for Vijay to fire again on Sunday as they aim for a hat-trick of titles.
