Murder Mystery PARTY?!?!?

I need some good ideas for a murder mystery b-day party, i want it to be free w/ about 10 people!!!! THANKS!!!!

They sell packaged games.  You could find directions there and suggestions for assigned parts.  Try a search.  Each game has a different theme so you'd want to do food, drinks, and favors accordingly.  If you're making up your own, keep it simple so you don't stress yourself. Pick one of the famous stories and go with it, making excerpts of the lines you want to use and distributing parts as needed.  The game "Mind Trap" has lots of detective mysteries to solve, you may want to just pick them out of the game and have everyone come as their favorite detective and use those cards to play a game.  Well you've got to have mixed drinks but you didn't say how old you are,  ginger ale and root beer would do.  Hamburgers and hot dogs are alway good,  taco salads and chips with dips are a must, fruit pizza makes a great desert and goes far.  Have everyones' "mug" shot taken as a souvenier.  That should help you get started.
