  1. I wouldn't use it, just buy the chemichals at the store, and yes it probably would

  2. DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!

Muriatic Acid is for Cement Pools! Bleach will clean your liner safely.

  3. i dont think acid reacts to plastics...it comes in plastic bottles...dont know that vinyl would be any different...

  4. It's fine to use muriatic acid to control the pools PH level whether it's vinyl or plaster, however I would not recommend using it to clean anything unless you were using a long handled broom or brush, because it's caustic. It comes in either a plastic or vinyl container, but you need to keep it away from metal (like step railings etc.) in it's full strength form.

    Good Luck,  ;-)

  5. The damage is done when the acid is poured in one spot and since being heavier than water, the acid will sink through the water column onto the liner and will cause damage, just like with a plaster pool.  Add small quantities and drizzle a small amount onto the water surface and walk as you do.  Take your brush out and use to brush pool bottom the effect is to stir the water.  Pump is on and allow to run for several hours to mix and you should be fine.

    You're welcome!!
