  1. Aching in your muscles doesn't necessarily mean your are building muscle, if you are sore the next day, that would be breaking down your muscle to be rebuilt.  Make sure to eat within 30 mintues of getting out of the water and that will help your recovery so you can get back in and do it again.

  2. it means that u swam a lot or like the other person said, u worked them too hard!

  3. no it means that your muscles are building because you either

-haven't used them in a while

-or built them more than they already are

    if it aches tomorrow

just relax so the muscle can build

  4. Muscle aches are usually a sign that you are moving forward in your training and getting stronger and faster, but that doesn't mean that you should just let them be. If anything is hurting excessively, you should 1) stretch while you are still at the pool 2) ice where it hurts, at least 45 minutes 3) sleep with a heating pad over it. In that order. This will make sure that you are ready for the next day.

Also, you should always cool down at least a 600 after a practice. This gets rid of most lactic acid in your body, which builds up over time and makes you extremely sore.
