i am a long distance runner in track and i keep getting a recurring hip flexor strain every season.

i noticed though that before any of the injuries, these areas were extremely tight.

could knots be causing all my injuries and how would i go about getting these knots out because i recently am coming back from the hip flexor starin and running on it and its still very tight.

  1. I am not 100% sure if your muscle knots are causing your injuries because I am not a doctor but it is possible that they have something to do with it. What i would recommend you do is go to your local sporting good store and buy a marathon stick. What you do is apply pressure to where your muscles are tight and roll up and down with the stick. This will loosen up any tight muscles and prevent them from getting into knots. These things work wonders believe me. They are great after long runs and they just feel amazing, it is like an at home deep tissue massage that you give to yourself. They are the best.

Good luck and enjoy you marathon stick!
