  1. i suggest you go to a steam room for short peroids. make sure you are stretching  properly  and go to a phsysiotherapist or a get a masage. eat good food too dont eat c**p

  2. Actually this is a good thing, it works out your muscles. After 2 or 3 practices you wont have any pain anymore, just take a long warm bath. After 2 or 3 practices you will be able to train without any problems

  3. Try a heating pad it always helps me! Also, you aren't going to like this suggestion but if you stretch the muscles they heal quite a bit faster. Stretching will help a ton just don't overdo it!

  4. i had the same problem....take a hot bath then eat some of your favorite comfort foods (they really help)

then take a nap....but the soreness won't be gone for days just to let you know

  5. Drink a TON of water, take a hot bath, and keep moving. It will hurt to move at first but it will loosen up your muscles and get the circulation going and will help you feel better.

  6. How high did they SOAR? Maybe you mean sore?????

  7. Well, I've been playing for 6 years and the only thing you really CAN do is stretch, a LOT, before and after practice...It's called warming up and warming down, that helps to prevent being sore. Also ice doesn't help, it makes it cold and numb, try to stay off your feet and rest a little, you can even stretch a little at home to ease the pain. Also try to massage your legs and arms where it's sore. And you can take tylenol or advil.

Warm baths are good too. And eat some banana's, they help relieve soreness.

    Hope I helped!!

  8. First, I feel your pain. I went to volleyball camp this summer and my friend had to help me out of bed. Although it is probably the last thing you want to do, keep moving the muscles. You will feel so much better during your workout. It you are able to get in and out of the bathtub(you might be to sore, as I was), take a hot bath to relax muscles. Try some icy-hot too.

Hope you feel better... Have a good season

  9. Make sure you eat a good banana before you work out.  Also keep really hydrated with water, I know it sounds funny but you should be peeing clear.  Also, don't drink Gatorade/Powerade, that stuff is cramp in a bottle, you're just calling for it if you drink that.  After practice fill your bath tub up with the COLDEST water you can go and dump some ice in it.  Sit in the water for 15-20 minutes.  Since it is cold, it will sting a little at first but after about 2 minutes your body will be used to the temp of the water.  Once your done you will still be sore, but it reduces the pain a ton!

  10. Find a jacuzzi and just chill in there for about a half hour.

Take a nice shower and turn a fan on and then just rest up.

Your muscles will be ok in a few days.

  11. drinking water is big you need to keep hydrated. also stretching helps. my favorite thing in the world that i do every day that works soooooo good and everyone should try is cold showers.

  12. when sore it is best to drink lots of liquids ( water, Gatorade, something like that) and what helps me is if i run when im sore and after a certian point you wont be as sore. if you dont like running then just keep moving when you are sore it never helps to just stay still.

  13. I know exactly where you are coming from! Omg, I am going through tryouts right now too. What is working for me is putting Bengay muscle cream on every couple hours. It smells strongly, but it really works. In the morning, before you leave for tryouts/practice, take a Tylenol pain reliever, just in case becuase you don't want the pain to affect your playing. Drink plenty of water and take a really nice hot bath. if there is a Lush store near you, buy the bubble bar called "Marathon", it is especially made for athletes to sooth sore muscles. Good luck!

  14. its really temporary, it happened to me when volleyball started again.just take it easy and try to make it comfortable

for yourself.it should only last about a week then your body will be used to it so u wont b as hurting.trust me

  15. try getting a heting pad to loosen up the muscles, or a hot water bottle.

  16. Try soaking in an Epsom salt bath.

  17. after practice when you get home stretch out again.

and maybe throw in like a nice hot bubble bath haha

hot baths work for me though
