Right i guess to explain my problem ill give you a few details of my gym routine.

I Start With A Cardio excercise (Bike &/Or x-trainer).

then i move onto weights which are..

**Lat. Pulldown

**Chest Incline

**Peck Dek

**Tricep Extension

**Freeweights

** Leg Weights (unsure of thier names)

Now I Do Each Exercise Twice jumping between two of them so i get a quick rest.

For example Thsi is what im doign for these 2 atm.

*lat pulldown- 11Reps on 62.5Kg

*Peck Deck- 11 Reps On 56.5 Kg

And Every Day i Go In Ill Go Up 1 Rep until i reach 12 reps, then ill go up another weight and start on 8 reps.

I Go at Least 4 Days A Week. & Ive Been goin for over a year now.

But i Had an injury and had to stop for a while.

But Now For My Problem, its only on My pectoral exercises im struggling..

*Peck Deck

*chest Incline.

I Can Do The First Amount Of Reps With Relative Ease.

But Then I get 3/4 Through My Next One & I Just Cant Make It up.

Any Ideas?

I Eat Healthy, Fruit&Veg, Bread, Milk, Fish & Water (not that you EAT Water Bt You know).

& Last Time I Looked I Weighed jsut over 10 st.

& Im Joining the army soon so i want to get it sorted so i can boost my fitness.

So Yeah....Help?

Cheers

  1. How long have you been doing this particular routine?  If more than 3 months you may have hit a plateau.  Change up the routine starting with the specific exercises you are doing.  At 4 days a week, you may also be over training, especially if you are doing these same exercises every time, then you are hitting your pecs 4 times a week without sufficient time for the muscle to completely recover.

You've clearly got the drive, but maybe you need a new plan.  I'd suggest going to www.bodyforlife.com and/or picking up a copy of Body for Life by Bill Phillips.  His workout plan may get your body back on the right track by forcing it to adapt to a new routine.

    Best of Luck.

  2. you must increase your duration before increasing intensity. Endurance training is more important worrying how much you can lift. More repetitions and low weight until you can master that specific weight, then you can increase it.
