  1. In Lima, I'd also recommend the San Francisco Monastery - beautiful artwork inside, with catacombs underneath.  The museum of the Inquisition is also pretty cool.

  2. Dont miss Museo Larco!

  3. In Lima you can not miss the museum of Larco herera, the archeolgycal museum pretty close from Larco and the goldem museum. In Cusco go to the inca museum and maybe the precolumbian museum eventhough you will see somethings that could seem the same objects and idols from ancient times.

  4. Peru is quite a big country.  You might try this site

If I was going I would want to find out more about the Incas through artifacts at museums that hold them.

  5. I´ve been to both museums and they are really good and the only ones labeled in english and offer guided tours in english for around 20 soles ($6). The gold and silver exhibition is overwhelming.

Museo Larco has a really good restaurant too in the beautiful gardens (gardens supposedly to have won local prices)..

  6. You must not miss Museo Larco in Lima - a "must" brief for the Incas and the precolumbian cultures before them. It´s a huge collection of pottery, gold, silver, textiles, stone, etc., and you will probably should spend at least a couple of hours there before visiting any other city in Peru.

In Cusco, you will find Museo de Arte Precolombino, a couple of blocks away from the Plaza de Armas, near the Monasterio Hotel. This museum was the best surprise in Peru. It´s open until 10 pm so you don´t have excuses to miss it.
