Mushfiqur Rahim plays down pressure talks ahead of third ODI – Cricket News Update
Just a victory away from scripting their first ever ODI series win against the West Indies at home, Bangladesh skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mushfiqur-Rahim-c2045 has played down talks of his team being under pressure ahead of third one-dayer against the Windies, to be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today, December 5, 2012.
"All the pressure is on them, not us," said Mushfiqur while speaking to media reporters at the pre-match press conference on the eve of the third one-dayer. "The manner of defeats would make them think because we didn't win by one wicket or 10 runs, we won by handsome margins that proves we’re playing better cricket than them. If we can continue in this vein, we can get a favourable result," the home skipper added further.
The relatively inexperienced Bangladesh batting line-up, featuring four debutants, outgunned the rampaging West Indies side in all three departments in the opening two fixtures of the five-match ODI series, at Khulna last week.
The hosts won the first One Day International by seven wickets and then crushed the tourists by 160 runs, their biggest ever win in ODIs, to take a 2-0 lead.
The home side’s victories in both the games were built on match-winning performances from the debutants, off-spinner Sohag Gazi (seven wickets in two games) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anamul-Haque-c44160 (120 in the second ODI).
If the Bengali Tigers can convert this opportunity into a series victory, with a win today, this will be their first series triumph against a top-ranked one-day side in more than two years. Though confident his side would take the winning momentum into Wednesday’s encounter, the wicketkeeper batsman has respect for the Caribbean contingent’s match winning potential.

"Things are clicking in our favour, whether that is forming a batting partnership or taking a wicket at the right time...I’m confident even if they play well, our consistency will pull us through."
The last two ODIs of the series will be played at the same Dhaka venue on December 7 and 8 respectively.
