Speaking to media reporters before leaving for Europe, the wicketkeeper batsman warned his side against complacency when playing the associate nations over the next of couple of weeks.
"We do have an idea about their cricket. There aren't any big or small teams in Twenty20s; the [team] which does well on the day usually wins," said Mushfiqur Rahim, the Bangladesh skipper on Tuesday.
The Bengali Tigers do not have an encouraging away history against the European sides. They lost ODIs to both Ireland and Netherland in 2010, and to Ireland in the second edition of the World T20 championship, held in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in 2009.
However, Mushfiqur, 23, was confident his side would give some positive performance this time around.
“While we don't have a good record playing against Ireland abroad, we are a stronger side now, since we have played together for quite a number of years,” said the wicketkeeper batsman, who has played 28 Tests and 108 ODIs. “Our target
will be to win the series, stay balanced and consistent ahead of the [Twenty20] World Cup, and stay confident,” he added further.
