Ive got Nero 7 (Nero 8 is a p.i.t.a) and an EZ Dub burner. For some reason, my cd's that I burn won't play in any car stero. I have music cd's (52x and 40x) and I know I'm burning them right. Can any one tell me what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

  1. Are you using Rewritable discs ?

  2. Are you using Cd-rw or cd-r ?

  3. call me crazy, but i dont like nero. try creating a playlist out of the songs in Windows Media Player (if ur using Win) and then burn them that way.

if not, try finding a place to download NTI CD/DVD Maker. i have it on my laptop. so far i have only burnt software, but i'm sure it'll work with Music also.

    if that still doesn't work:

find the music files, copy them, paste them onto the CD. if it gives you a formatting option when you paste the files, try to choose one for playback on stereos if it gives you that option.

if that doesn't work, idk. check it in a different stereo. if it works in a different one, then I'd say you need a new CD reader in your car for your stereo. try getting one from eBay. i hear sony has good ones.

hope that helps ma'am. if it doesnt, feel free to email me (nick@lestcom.com) because i'm puzzled, and I'd like to know why it isnt working just as much as you are.

  4. It might be that you're car stereo doesn't play MP3's. Only newer car stereos play mp3s. Check if it will play in the computer. If it does, then it's probably the car stereo that's not working.
