Question:

Music I purchased shows up as burnable in the "My Music" listing, but not in a playlist. How do I burn them?

All the music I purchased is designated "burnable" in the "My Music" listing. Most, however, have a type of "Imported" -- only one has a type of "Purchased." When I transfer these tracks to a playlist to burn them to CD, only the track designated "Purchased" is also designated as burnable. Why would the songs, all of which were purchased the same way as far as I know, be designated differently and how do I make it so I can burn the music I have paid for?

  1. I've had the same problem.  Once I ignored it and clicked on the "Burn" button and it checked marked all the boxes including the ones that didn't have a "Burn" symbol by them.

Another time I tried the same thing but didn't continue to hit the second "Burn" button because the blocks weren't all checked marked.  I went back into my music and selected the affected tracks and dropped them back into the playlist I was trying to burn.

Sometimes the track that wasn't showing the burn symbol suddenly flashes twice and the burn symbol comes back.  When this happens I delete the track I just dropped in. Sometimes it doesn't.  When it doesn't I delete the track without the burn symbol.  Probably sounds stupid but it worked.

It doesn't happen all the time but If It is to you, you may want to go to customer care and see if there's any fixes there or go to tech support.  I've had good luck with both.

It shouldn't matter if it's "Purchased" or "Imported"
