Music Ideas for a slideshow on my Haiti trip?

I went to Haiti twice and totally fell in love! I want to make a slide show of our trips and our kids but I don't know what song to use! HElp?

I dont think you should use reggae. Use traditional haitian music. That will fit best. Here are some examples for you:

How about some steel drum music?  One word of caution, though -- if you are going to show a slide show to anybody outside your family at home, ASCAP may very well send you a very nasty letter threatening lawsuit for violating copyright of the composers and performers unless you send a fairly significant amount of money to ASCAP and agree in writing never to do it again!  This actually happened to a non-profit group who put together a terrific slide show presentation about the Mississippi River flood several years ago and used various pieces of music from tapes and CD's as background.  They showed it only to their members, and ASCAP jumped on them very hard!  ASCAP, and BMI (similar group in Great Britian) are extremely aggressive on behalf of their members, who include just about everybody who writes and/or performs music.
