Music at home ?

we sing live sometimes and wnt to record that and adjust the mic sound and all that , now my question is what equipment do i need i have a stereo ,a computer and a home thetaer system, what else do i need ? keeep in mind that most of our music comes from the computer!!

For starting you require a program on computer that can help you make music, couple of microphones (avoid directional microphones for starting, they can be hard to set up, opt for simple stereo ones) and a sound mixer which can connect to your computer.

For a more basic setup just get a single stereo microphone, plug it into your computer and use some program like audacity and you are ready to record.
