Music editing software?

anybody know any as i asked music software? iv got a few recording and i need to get the distortion down any body help please? and it need to be downloadable thank you

check out cakewalk.com Check out SONAR (one of their products with good ratings.

Another good one is ADOBE AUDITION.

Audacity is an older program, but a good one at that.

All of these should be downloadable. SONAR should be easy to learn.

I have been using Gold Wave for a number of years.

I tried a lot of the free ones while I used the evaluation version of Gold Wave, but I always came back to GW. I am pretty tight with my software dollars, and use as many freeware programs as I can, but I liked Gold Wave enough to spring for the registration. For me that says a lot!

You won't find anything better for the price than Audacity.

Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.
