Ok here is the question:

I want to be able to hear the music from my MAC in my loft (1250 square feet).

How can i make sure that the MAC has enough output for the speakers to perform right?

Do i need to amplify the sound?

  1. The best way to play music from your computer (PC or Apple) is to use an Ethernet Steaming Audio device.  These devices support wired or wireless connection to your computer.

The Apple Airport Express supports audio streaming and the Linksys Music Bridge does as well.

The streaming device's audio output connects to a stereos auxiliary input.

I have used both of the devices mentioned and found they work great.
