Music jukebox installation unsuccessful?

I get all the way to 99% installation, and then I see a window pop up for just a second that says something about uninstalling disc labeler, and then I get the Step 6 of 6 screen that says "installation unsuccessful" because of other open applications or incomplete installs. I have uninstalled all components, rebooted, and reinstalled, but I get the same thing. I'm not sure what, if anything, would be conflicting with it, but even before I had to redo my entire system a couple of months ago I was getting errors that it couldn't even open when it normally would before. Then after I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled everything, it wouldn't even reinstall YMJ. I've been in touch with Yahoo support and they've basically given up, saying there's something on my system now that's conflicting, but I'm not even sure where to start looking.

This is one time (in fact the only time) I would side with Yahoo!

If you can't install YMJ on a newly formatted system, then you must be installing some other software product that is incompatible.  What error message did you get when you attempted to install on a freshly formatted system?  What is your OS (Windows XP or Vista  or ?).  What anti-virus and firewall software?  To cut to the chase: The last thing I install on any system is the anti-virus and firewall software.  Here's what I do.  Format and install the OS.  Turn on Windows XP firewall.  Run Windows Update and keep installing until nothing else to install (re-check under Windows XP).  Install my drivers.  Make sure everything works ok.  Then install my everyday software (e.g. Firefox, Itunes, YMJ, Real player, Adobe reader, Flash, and so on).  The last thing I do is install AVG anti-virus and Zone Alarm and then I turn off Windows Firewall.  I run a complete anti-virus scan.  That's me.  Maybe you should try.
