What types of music are popular in France? If I moved to France would I hear The Doors being played as they are in America? Would I be able to purchase Doors cd's on stores?

Modern French music, like modern music just about everywhere in the word, is entirely derivative of American popular music.

A few months ago I went to the largest music store in Paris and tried to buy a "fake book" of French popular music. I couldn't find one that had only French music.
