  1. When I ran several years ago, I managed it quite fine without the music but now that I'm older and needing more ''me'' time Music helps me take away the fact that I'm hurting or wanting to stop when I'm running--provides a great distraction.

  2. it keeps your mind of the thought of how tiring running is...

    also...it gives u energy....

    and also  good beat

  3. I'm not going to do it for you, but look up music motivation or desire from music, etc.

  4. though I havent run with music at all while running during my 8 year career, I know that music has helped increase the readiness to run, so maybe some may consider music during runs to produce that extra ounce of "heart" that isnt there when music isnt there/present.

  5. it doesn't really make u faster, it makes u go longer since u are distracted from the pain

  6. Listening to music indirectly makes a person run faster and/or longer distances. It helps distract one from the pain and monotony of running. Music can greatly influence people; it can easily calm or excite a person. It is one of the few things that people of all origins and beliefs share; it has a powerful effect on all hearing, living beings.

Here is a website that describes the effects music can have on a person:

I hope this has helped, and good luck with your essay!:)

  7. First of all, I am a long-distance cross country runner and also a 3000m track athlete. I feel that during practices it really helps me start runing since often I run at 6 or 7 am and it really takes a lot of motivation to start running. However, when I have the music I love to listen to on my iPod, it helps a little bit. I don't feel that it helps me to run in races though since I always try to concentrate as much as I can on the race. And music would only distract me.

Also, try reading this website, I didn't write it

make sure to give credit to the author when you do your paper
