Music universities?

I'm still torn wether i want to follow medicine or music lol so i'm keeping my option open for both as long as I can, my question is are there any music universities in uk you know of? possiby that aren't too classical? i play a violin and i'd love to play more modern music like Vanessa Mae but i'm not too picky, thanks :D
