Musical Theatre Audition Material??

Question

Do you know of any songs that would work for an upbeat, around 16 bar audition? I am a soprano and I am 16 years old. Thanks!

What are you auditioning for?  You need to pick a song to suit the show that you're going for - if you can manage it, a different show by the same composer is ideal.  Don't sing Sondheim unless you're auditioning for a Sondheim show, and the same goes for Andrew Lloyd Webber; stay away from shows which are currently big on Broadway (ie Wicked, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, Phantom, Les Mis) as they're horribly overdone.  With more information I could be more specific!
