  1. Doesn't matter - same company.

  2. Musiciansfriend owns Guitar Center, so watch out.

I'd recommend going to Guitar Center, because there you can make sure you like the instrument you'll be buying.  Also, depending on how persuasive you are, you can usually ask them "if they can do any better on the price."  Make sure that if you buy a floor model, you freak out over any small blemish.

Go to Guitar Center for sure.  Ask them to throw in a cable or something too, or strings.  Haggle on the price.  Play your guitar.  Every guitar is different.  Be absolutely sure what you buy is what you want.

  3. They are both the same store.  If you have a local music dealer besides Guitar Center, I would advise seeing if they have something you want instead.  Guitar Center has the WORST service department I have ever seen.  Its non-existent.  If something is defective, ive seen instances where under warranty they want YOU to pay to have it shipped back to the manufacturer to get work done on it.  Want a new set of strings put on a guitar and have it set up and calibrated?  They dont do it.....Stores like Guitar Center has been hurting the independent music dealers for some time now.. putting good stores out of business.  Guitar Center is the "Wal-Mart" of music stores!  I refuse to shop there any more......

  4. If you are buying a guitar go to the guitar center because you want to make sure that you like the feel of the guitar and to ensure your not buying a guitar that might have blemishes on it from the shipping. Also if you want to return the instrument it is easier to return to the store rather than a web site. Musician friend is great for accessories like amps. pedals, straps, pick, etc

  5. They are both excellent places, but Musician's Friend  does have really good selections, Musician's Friend did come off of Guitar Center, Good luck with finding the right guitar!

    Hope this helped

  6. guitar center all the way ;]

  7. guitar center

if you are a beginner but still want good quality for really cheap you could get the epiphone PR-150 for only $99!!!
