Question:

Musicmatch/Yahoo Jukebox question?

This thing with Musicmatch no longer being supported really stinks - I had paid for my Musicmatch subscription and everything was working fine and now I'm supposed to transition to Yahoo. I tried like 10 times to transition this thing and then when I finally get it to work I get this message telling me I need to pay again. Well, I am just not wanting to pay all over again.

If I'm going to join a music thing I'll do ITunes or something. They have more music, more videos and Apple is easier to use anyway.

oh well - sorry for the rant

my question?

how do I transition to the Yahoo Music Jukebox without having to pay again?

  1. I know I can't help you with your question, but I used to have Yahoo Music and I hated it. It only worked some times and other times it would put the title of the song in my mp3 player, but not the file. I eventually canceled it b/c it was more hassle that it was worth. I would try to find a different music download site. It's just not worth it.

  2. MMJB was the best media player, and people are realising the move is a downgrade from what the MMJB  purists users are use to

Yahoo say you will maintain your customer status. > http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/music/j...

Support link for yahoo post in this forum and they may help you > http://mb.music.yahoo.com/music/Support/...

be aware Many MusicMatch purists are disappointed that Yahoo has stripped the latest Jukebox of some of its best features like file renaming and consider the migration anything but an upgrade, the migration IS a downgrade.

Once yahoo gets ahold of something, it is stripped back to the bare basics for the free users. Even paying customers of yahoo products, have major problems with customer care. SO THINK ABOUT IT B4 U MIGRATE.

In yahoo's FAQ's about MMJB they neglect to tell you it is a downgrade.

i have forced myself to get familiar with an alternative choice, and i am very happy with my choice, it does all the same things MMJB did, the format is very different, but once use to it, i am pleased with my choice.

Yahoo does not look after its users, unless you pay $$, even then the migration is still a downgrade. hence i will NOT trust it with something as precious as my music.

itunes does everything musicmatch did, just gotta get used to the format / converts music easily etc ... Alternative media players > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_...
