Musir likely to win the Burj Nahaar Sponsored by Emirates Sky Cargo

M. F. De Kock’s trainee, Musir, is likely to win the Burj Nahaar Sponsored by Emirates Sky Cargo at Meydan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The triumphant runner will be awarded with cash prize of £77,419.
The one mile long race has attracted 14 entries and their names are: Maraheb, Musir, Rajsaman, African Story, Kavango, Silver Ocean, Dysphonia, Vagabond Shoes, Dux Scholar, Jardim, Gitano Hernando, Snaafy, Sooraah, Le Drakkar, Finjaan, Primaeval and Tertio
Bloom.
Considering the recent form of all these runners, Musir has the best chances of winning today. He has been in splendid form over the past few months and has got plenty of experience of the conditions at Meydan.
The six-year-old horse managed to win his past three races convincingly, thus the bookmakers have full faith in his abilities. Out of his hat-trick of victories, the recent two have come at Meydan, which shows that he likes running here.
Overall, Musir has got a fabulous record, as he has only finished out of top three on one occasion. He has earned eight victories, three runners up positions and a couple of third place finishes.
The punters will definitely place the maximum number of bets on Musir, who will be partnered by Christophe Soumillon. He is the same jockey, who has been partnering the young horse in most of his outings.
Maraheb, trained by A Al Raihe, will also be the one to watch out for, as he is in good shape at the moment. He has earned three victories in his career so far and has the potential of fighting for more of them.
The four-year-old colt was unable to make an impression at Meydan in his previous outing, thus the punters will be a touch hesitant over placing bets on him. He will be ridden by Tadhg O'Shea, who has got plenty of experience at this level.
Frankie Dettori’s partnered runner, African Story, will also be one of the top contenders for victory. Although the five-year-old gelding does not have a very good strike rate, his rider knows how to win races.
There will be a tough competition between the top three runners whereas the rest of the participants will have to work extremely hard to fight for victory at Meydan today.
