  1. No, but I wear scarfs, they r more comfortable 4 me and no not all the time. I need to pray and gain discipline.

  2. No i don't wear a hijaab. But my opinion is: If you wear a hijaab you have to wear it all the time [except at home]

  3. No,i still don't.But i'm thinking of wearing it when i start high school which is this year.

  4. No, i don't wear the Hijab, and disapointed in myself for not having that confidence to. I am planning to wear the Hijab though as soon as i can, i understand it all but i just need that push and motivation to get me stared. I love the hijab and the reasoning to it, and Inshallah i will be strong enough to begin wearing it soon.

But, like the first person on here said, there's alot more to Islam than the Hijab. Many people judge me because of me not wearing the Hijab, but they don't realise knowledge of Islam can be greater than covering your hair. A Hijab is not only covering yourself but an inner respect, how you carry youself as a character etc.

  5. If u have something in Islam thn tht is compulsory for u hijab is compulsory for Women and shame on those people who r trying to challenge there religion may God guide them and give them wisdom (Ameen)

  6. ive worn it full time since i was 18, alhamdulillah. i couldnt function wearing one that went all the way to my knees.. i wear one of those for salah only, and usually i wear the square ones that you fold into a triangle. i have a lot of the wrap around (shayla) ones too , but with my kids constantly tugging at me and especially my son pulling at it, they just dont stay on right. a 1 - pin square hijab is much easier.

and for those who say islam isnt all about hijab.. youre right. islam is way more than hijab, but it is still compulsory for every woman to cover herself as we are told in the quran

1 – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine s*x. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allaah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful”

    [al-Noor 24:31]

2 – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And as for women past childbearing who do not expect wedlock, it is no sin on them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show their adornment. But to refrain (i.e. not to discard their outer clothing) is better for them. And Allaah is All‑Hearer, All‑Knower”

    [al-Noor 24:60]

“Women past childbearing” are those who no longer menstruate, so they can no longer get pregnant or bear children.

We shall see below the words of Hafsah bint Sireen and the way in which she interpreted this verse.

3 – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

    [al-Ahzaab 33:59]

4 – Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet’s houses, unless permission is given to you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited, enter, and when you have taken your meal, disperse without sitting for a talk. Verily, such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet, and he is shy of (asking) you (to go); but Allaah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not (right) for you that you should annoy Allaah’s Messenger, nor that you should ever marry his wives after him (his death). Verily, with Allaah that shall be an enormity”

    [al-Ahzaab 33:53]

    With regard to the Ahaadeeth:

1 – It was narrated from Safiyyah bint Shaybah that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) used to say: When these words were revealed – “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4481. The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102):

May Allaah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allaah revealed the words “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Ameen al-Shanqeeti (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

This hadeeth clearly states that what the Sahaabi women mentioned here understood from this verse – “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – was that they were to cover their faces, and that they tore their garments and covered their faces with them, in obedience to the command of Allaah in the verse where He said “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” which meant covering their faces. Thus the fair-minded person will understand that woman’s observing hijab and covering her face in front of men is established in the saheeh Sunnah that explains the Boo

  7. i wear hijab sometimes and the wrap round ones

  8. i agree with love from iran

  9. Good for you. May Allah give you more strength of Eiman and save you from all possible difficulties of life and keep you on the path of Islam.  Jazakallah O Khair.

Never pay attention to the comments of Kuffar.

  10. May Allah (swt) reward you for your efforts (ameen)

I wear the rectangle/square ones, they don't go down to my knee though but it suffices enough to cover me. I cover totally when I am out side.

    <3

  13. unfortunately, no, i do not wear a hijab even though i am already supposed to at my age (i'm seventeen). inshallah one day i will pluck up the courage to wear it and tell western society to go s***w itself...but for now i am a conformist :-) i do pray five times a day, respect my parents, abstain from drugs, alcohol, s*x, etc...so i definitely have good intentions in the name of islam.

and i commend you for wearing one!

  14. sadly, i dontwear the hijab, i am muslim and im thinking about doing it when i get my period but im just afraid that i might take it off and that could make god angrier.

  15. no i dont, islam is so much more than hijab

  16. I wear Khimar, too!  once you start, you do feel exposed.  I could never leave the house without hijab ever again!!!

both women and men like you and respect you more with hijab.

And I had lower self esteem  when I didn't wear hijab, because people's eyes were always going up and down on my body.  And women would glare at me.

So, love from iran, you are wrong.

and obviously Islam is more than hijab.  but one's taqwa increases when you fight your nafs.

  17. No i dnt because i dnt see why i should.

I have questioned and understood the reasons

"So men are not aroused/sin because of us, we should cover up"

But since i dnt agree with that i wont cover up.

Women have sexual feelings too. If men cover up, i will HAPPILY do so aswell.
