Ok, so my mom went to Yemen the day before yesterday and is coming back in about two weeks. I want to make her a surprise party when she comes back. How do you think I should do it? And what's a nice thing to buy her, that's not too expensive and not too cheap? Please help me out. Jazakum Allah khair brothers and sisters!

This isn't really a Muslim-specific question....has little to do with religion unless your mom is very religious and you're only looking to buy her a religious gift.

Mom's will appreciate things like a cake, flower, a greeting card. You know your moms tastes best. Things like perfume or purses are generic gift items and could go for anyone...

Very lovely, clean the house cook nice food for her play music and have everyone she loves in the house and when she walks in say surprise.

tell ur family and friends first whats going on and they can help you. i think perfume or some sort or decoration or something will make mums happy lol

for the party, get a cake and food and stuff and tell the people coming to keep quiet about it =]

Sorry sister i think cannt really help much.

Sister u know your mom best, u know what she likes. if you think that she'll love it if u have done all the cleaning or if u think she really wants u to learn to cook ect, that do that, that will be a great surprise for her.

what i mean is, if you think that your mom really wanted u to do something which you havent done so far, doing that will be a best surprice for her, i feel. Be it in doing something or learning something, or making your father or your siblings doing that ur mom always wanted them to do. I think thats a best and cheapest gift. :)

Thats my advise. Although i believe she'll be really happy for anything you did to her, even if u gave her a big her with so much excitments when she returns home, bcoz she is your MOM, she gave you birth. I hope this helps.

clean the house prepare a nice meal and get her something she likes (perfume, nice blouse, comfortable slippers...my mum's addicted to fancy towels no matter how much she's got she always goes out to get more )

you could also prepare the camera to take clicks of the first moment she steps in the airport, at home...

call her while she's away tell her how much you love and miss her and that you're doing well no need for her to worry about you...

I think even if small, or cheap but if made or prepared on your own (probably from scratch, and preferrably something you know she likes) can be a great moment of joy for any mother..

Or you can do a thing that is more elaborate and add a personal touch with what I mentioned above.
