you buy a perfume or cuflings or a nice shirt for him and make a yammuy dinner and cake and if possible then some red roses and make a candale light dinner togather at home

  6. Walaykom salaam

Do something romantic....like the whole candle-lit dinner thing, prepare a meal from scratch and spoil him...then give him something small as a present , men don't like extravagant gifts...

    Good luck, ENJOY!!!;)

or u can get him some cologne

and celebrating birthdays isnt haraam, somepeople say it is but those people are the same ones that think everything is haraam and make islam seem like a bad religion when it isnt.

    Shutup Haraam Police!

  12. well, the reason we shouldn't celebrate the birthday is because, our prophet told us, the Muslims have only two eids(celebrations), edul fitr, and edul ad-ha, anything other than that is innovation.

The other point is, most other celebrations have started from the non-Muslims, and we as Muslims are not to follow the kuffar in their beliefs and practices.

for some Muslims this is too much because they don't try to read, breath and practice Islam in everyway as prophet did, but we are suppose to practice the religion in everyway.  so lets not make a haram into halal, just be aware, and do what you can in time inshallah.

also the other celebrations that were practiced by the prophet was new baby(aqiqa), wedding(nikah) etc.  these are obviously allowed, but not baby showers etc. which are non-muslim clebrations and have specific other islamic reasons for not celebrating.  but birthday, anniversery falls under the exact same meaning as *eid in arabic because it is celebrated every year religiously, and it was not the practice of the prophet and his followers, rather practice of the non-muslims, so it is clearly not to be celebrated by Muslims.

there are many hadeeths pertaining these issues.  If you want to know farther, I will inshallah send the hadiths and rulings to you.  =)

    assalaamu aleiki
