I am new to Islam and I have a question about making up fasting. Last year I fasted except for the days I menstrated. I haven't made them up yet and Ramadan is coming around September 1st. I can't make up the days because I just started my menstral cycle for this month. What am I to do if I don't have time to make up all the days? Do I have to pay money and if so how much because I am unemployed and my husband barely makes enough money to pay for groceries and our rent. What am I to do?

  1. Islam is not about making you broke ill just tell you right now. Allah is very kind and will forgive you if you have troubles.

    peace

  2. ummm i kinda hav the same question....i think its okay to just make them up cuz procrastinating is bad, so like in the monthof shawwal jus make it up sis!

@@@@@ LOVE FROM IRAN:::::::::::::::: alot of non-muslim girls are very unmodest and dress horrible, and from that horrible pic on ur avatar i say u support such horridness....tsktsk.

  3. You are supposed to make up those days before the next Ramadan begins. You have had all year why ask now? You will just have to make up double after Ramadan this year ask for forgiveness and make sure it never happens again. You have the winter months when fasting days are very short you can make them up then. You dont have to pay anything in Islam if you cannot afford it, its not about making your life harder its about making it better. Just fast them after and in Ramadan this year ask God to forgive you.

    Peace to you...

  4. it isn't a crime hun. you don't get fined for something like that. can't you make it up after Ramadan just like they asked of you last year? just actually do it, no more procrastination

  5. all you have to do is try and Allah knows your intent.. If you missed making up fasting days.. Your charity doesnt have to be in money value, you can give charity in time, patience, knowledge, helping, giving of yourself, volunteering, teaching others about Islam.. helping new muslimahs into Islam... Allah even said a "smile" is charity...

  6. After fasting this Ramadan's fasts, and after Eid, you can fast the missed fasts. Islam has no difficulties. Good you are worried and concerned about it. so inshaAllah, after Eid, fast and fast as early as you can. coz now you have missed almost 10 months :)  so don't let it happen again ~!
