Muslim guys helping their wives in house work?

Do u help ur wife in housework?

Like cooking, cleaning ,raising ur babies , ironing clothes etc....??

or U guys just lie during the engagement and say yes we will and after marriage u don't?

I don't understand why a husband would not help his wife around the house? Granted a husband may work 8 or 9 hours a day, but this should not prevent him from helping his wife in the house.

Of course I do. We both have jobs so we try to both contribute equally at home.

well, when you buy something you usually take good care of it right, so when you buy a house, regardless male or female, you should contribute to keeping it clean and well kept...cept as a man, id rather not clean my kid's doo doo...like even though there is trmendous reward in teaching him/her to clean in the way prescribed by the sunnah..

My dh helps watch the kids while I am working, he folds laundry, does dishes, helps rearrange furniture and does heavy stuff like shampooing carpets.  Alhamdulillah, mashAllah he lives Islam according to the Qur'an and Sunnah and not according to the culture of his country, so we don't have any issues with him not helping out.
