the womens duty is athome so is it best to do things at home. even seeking knowledge because there is the interenet and there are quite a few reliable sites to seek knowledge. Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are also published online and there is also a lot of software, even Quranic software.

as well as islamic forums and forum like Y!a (Ramadan section) to speak to other Muslims and if you're married, you can be onlnie do your duties as a wife at home. =)

  6. yes worshipping at home is better for you, but theres nothing wrong with going out and having a good time...

  7. It's the importance of trivial details that does more to make religions lose their credibility than anything else.

  8. yeah..great advice

what is "you can be onlnie do your duties as a wife at home." online wife??

  9. Yes I know, however at times it is better to be around those people who are striving like you, it encourages one more, rather than sitting in a room and learning by your self ;p

  10. A home becomes a self made prison if you confine yourself to it.Your point on the advantages of a computer and the internet as a learning medium are well put,but only if seeking all knowledge, not just specific knowledge. It is a prime source of knowledge and knowledge sets you free in your pursuit of truth.

  11. I don't know if they receive more reward but there is a saying of the Prophet that if women want to go to mosque, don't stop them even if its night. That means that women are allowed to go to mosque. But in many cultures women are discouraged to go to mosques. This is again a cultural issue.

  12. Although Rasoolullah(SAW) granted women permission to attend the Musjid on condition that they strictly observed various restrictions imposed upon them by the Shariah, he still encouraged women to pray in their home, saying 'the home is the best mosque for women'.

After the Prophet's(SAW) death, women were prevented from going to the musjid by Umar(RA) because of their manners and not filling the conditions of the Shariah.

Qur'ãn: "And stay within your homes. And do not make a display (of yourselves) like the displays of the times of ignorance." (Surah Ahzaab.)

However today there are certain genuine cases, where due to financial circumstances, etc... women are compelled to leave their home, to work and make ends meet for the family.

Seeking knowledge is regarded as a religious duty.

Women scholars have an injustice against them if confined to their homes!

    Knowledge guards you.
