Muslims, What's your opinion on Christians believing that Jesus is the son of God?

Question

Well this question is for Muslims only, which then can only mean Christian etc will come in and bash or whatever is it, well go take your two points and I fully understand why you will come to make a statement of hatred of whatever.

I never ever understood that when i was a Christian. The concept of the Trinity. Not getting a satisfactory answer was one of the reasons i started looking into Islam. I mean, why would God need a son, why would he let him suffer and pay for our sins? What about being responsible and acountable for yourself? It always felt too easy for me that i could do the heck what ever i wanted, as long as i believed Jesus died for my sins. That i would be forgiven if i truly believed in him being God.

It makes way more sense that i will be held accountable for my deeds in this life by Allah Almighty.

hi,muslims respect to opinion of christians,but muslims dont belive that jesus is the son of god because god is not huoman and when jesus told father to god is symbolic that means god is merciful and love his creat and humans and protect from his people like a father that love his children and support them.

Honestly.. when i was a christian i never really understood that concept anyway.. even now.. my  dad always tells me things like Jesus will protect you...  Jesus saved you.. (i was in a bad car accident)....  and when ever something good happens he says Thanks be to Jesus.. and Praise Jesus!  i really never realized how much christians emphasis worshiping Jesus as if he were God untill i learned about Islam.  I was always taught to believe in one God.. but also that the trinity was all a part of God.. when i asked about it.. my answer was always  "thats just the way it is..  you have to have faith."    same thing with original sin.. that's another doozy.  how can a baby be born with sin?  anyway.. Alhudulillah  that Allah guided me to Al Islam    ALLAHU AKBAR!

I am neither Christian, nor Muslim anymore, and I don't believe Jesus to be the son of God.  We are all ultimately children of God anyway.  Well, those of us that choose to be anyway.

As a sort of neutral party, dude, chill, and stop being so cult-like in your attitude.  You know one of the characteristics of cults is a "members only" mentality.  Believe me you do not want the word "cult" attached to Islam here in America; if the united nations ever defined Islam as a cult, its the end of the religion.

The label of "cult" automatically means that your religion is labeled as something harmful to the human race, and if that ever happened, the whole world will be at war with you.

I would be very concerned about that viewpoint if I was you because, trust me, you do not want the word "cult" attached to the word "Islam."

that is their opinion and right to opinion, one cannot force ideas on other people , they do not deserve to be bashed, after all if you want to be respected you must also show respect for others.  personally i believe God has no sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, parents , and is not part of a polytheistic trinity.

The thing I don't get is that they think that Jesus is the son of god (Astugfulilah) because Mary was a virgin and had a child. What about Adam he had no parents why don't they think that he is the child of god???

I was raised for 19 years as a Christian, however the ideology that God had a son never sat well with me.  

As for my attitude on Christians believing that, I am completely tolerant and respectful of their beliefs no matter how much I may disagree them.  Each Christian, Jew and Muslim will die following a religion with the same underlying message that Allah (s.w.t) gave us, irrespective of what mankind has changed to his own accord.

Many church doctrines have no basis in bible.

all are invented.

Jesus did not say that he is God or part of God.

the word son is used for calling all people, not and nothing special.
