Muslims, can someone explain these namaz?

What does farz mean and what does the questioner mean by "how many farz and sunnahs are in Isha salat?"

these classifications of salat into farz,sunnets and naffals are all innovations..there is only one Salat you may call it fard,,and thats it

Fard is the obligatory Salah.

When someone asks how many Fard and Sunnah are in a Salat, they are asking about the number of Fard and Sunnah Rakats.

Farz means Fard!!

sunnah is sunnat!!      

he/she means that how many rakaat do we pray!!

in isha

First: 4 rakaat fard!

then 2 rakaat sunnaat!!

in the end 3 rakaat witar=wajab!!

Farz (Arabic = Fard) is the namaz which is obligatory

Vitr (in Isha namaz) is wajib (meaning it's a major sin if you miss it)

Sunnah = not obligatory, but it is the prayer the Prophet used to do. It is recommended you do it

Nafl = optional salaat

Tatawwu = voluntary prayer

I think that covers it. I usually do the vitr, the fard. I do nafl sometimes and sunnah sometimes. I'm trying to get into a habit of doing sunnah more often. Salaat makes me feel really peaceful

Fardh فرض means that which is obligatory

Sunnah سنة means that which is from the actions and beliefs of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Sunnah can be that which is obligatory or that which is recommended etc.

As for the Faraa'idh (plural of Fardh)

The Fardh of the 'Ishaa is 4 Raka'aat

The Sunnah is 4 Raka'aat before the 'Ishaa (after the adhaan for Ishaa')

2 Raka'aat after the 'Ishaa

And the witr Salaah can be 1 Rak'ah or 3 Raka'aat or 5 Raka'aat, the number must be odd.

namaz means parayer and we pray 5 times a day

sunnah is prayer that our prophet muhammad (PBOH) did

and farz is prayers god wants us to do

u pray 3 raka' farz and 2 raka' sunnah in isha prayer
