  2. Shams of Tabriz was a majzoob saint.He appeared in life of movelana Rumi and taught him few mystical things. Rumi was never the same again. He composed his great poem Mathanvi after meeting him. The disciple including the son of Rumi were very annoyed with Shams so they hacked him with swords and daggers. The story goes that when Shams blood spilled it whirled and went up in the skies hence the dance of victim (Raqse Bismal) originated . This dance is now performed in memory of their love and devotion at the tomb of Rumi in Konya -Turkey
