  1. I'm persian and muslim

no one cares about parying, hijab or other stuff here because it's useless

and it's like forcing us to do something we don't like to do.it's related to them what I wanna be or how I wanna look.that's why when we go to America we want to use UP the freedom

though in Iran, it's strict and if there's something with our uniform or scarf they will act in a really cruel and offensive way towards us that's why we hate them SOOOOOO much they even hit girls or boys badly in the streets because of inappropriate clothing.

all in all,I mean we hate our country, our president and so our religion because of them. It's like taking revenge

  2. It doesn't depend on the culture, but on the faith of the person. Some people don't have strong faith in Islam, which is why they stray. But there are still people who follow it the right way, hamduillah, because they have such strong faith.

    and Shia are Muslim.

  3. well its all going to go on their left shoulder, and Allah knows.

  4. It's culture and rules and norms of different countries. Some countries are strict, some not. Some cultures are strict, some not.

It disappointing to see that your friend is right a little, youths are starting to worry about fitting into the cultures of where they live that they forget to practice Islam. Many muslims however mashallah keep up their faith.

And btw, about the Shia's... People say shia's are not muslims, but i think it's wrong to say that, let Allah choose which are and are not. Shia's are muslims who follow some very wrong practices and have differences to Sunni's. Sunni's are seen to be true muslims because they don't misinterpret or practice wrongly.

  5. Well, there are many reasons.

    (1) Muslim invaders faced maximum resistance in Persia before they succumb to barbarians.

    (2) Though they were forced to convert, they stick to their culture by calling the God almighty by their traditional name of KHUDA instead of Islam sponcered ALLAH.

    (3) As a mark of dormant rebellion to Islam, they preferred wine. Their literature is repleat with mention of liquor.

    (4) Their embracing Shiaism was also a mark of rebellion against the Sunni invaders.

Islam was never accepted whole heartedly in Iran.

  6. My friend:

Just as not all Christians are not good Christians. In the same way, we too have bad apples.

You are talking about Persians, I have seen even the Saudis going off the track in Nederland and USA. In fact completely off the rail. You just cannot imagine what they do.

Regarding the Persians / Iranians. If you take the religion away, then their society is a very very liberal society. In fact over liberal.

In my view, the Muslim countries exhibit a certain phenomena. Their ties to the religion are VERY strong. In fact stronger than the Christians. There society and culture is GREATLY influenced by the religion. The Religion sets the X-AXIS of the society / culture. Now the culture actually swings almost equally around this x-Axis.

When the liberals take over, they exploit the curbed animal nature of the suppressed (by religious fanatics) to swing the culture to limits beyond athiests. This goes on until the elastic effect of the x-Axis, tends to develop an opposing force in the form of religious fanatics. Then they take over and they would swing the whole culture to the other extreme.

Iranian culture is very much liberal (close to the liberal Turkish). When the Shah of Iran was overthrown, it experienced the strict and fanatic rule of the fanatics. But the culture and the people living beneath it, are inherently liberals like the liberal Turks. Therefore, the moment they get the chance to get out, they exhibit the other extreme e.g. over liberalism, to compensate for the loss of suppression.

  7. Don't listen to the people that are saying that shias are not Muslims. They are the ones that have no knowledge about Islam. Now, to get back to your question...I don't think it is the culture. I think it is the culture rather it is the people themselves. And I see you didn't mention the really religious Muslims in Iran. Besides there are so many non religious Muslims, who are not Persian/ Iranian.

    STOP GENERALISING!

    bless:)

  8. because persians are shia's and shia's tend to follow islam in a different way...in their way... not ALLAH's way. and im not here to say anything againest persians but even i tend to see many persians without scarves and doing everything the american way...half naked...revealing their body...going out etc.

not all muslims are good...there are some who just doesnt care wat judgement day have in store for them. arabians, p**i's, bengali's, even some africans are muslim but they are not all good.

remeber there will always be a good and bad side to everything in life...why??

because there is GOD and there is the Devil.

  9. shia are muslims

but they do much things from thierself not what prophet mohammed said

wearing hijab or do haram things is not because they are perisians but becasue thiey are humans , just dont juge islam of what muslims do , it's not the same thing

it's the same case in church women cover but not all christian women , in fact thier religion sacrifice degnity - that's thier principe but not what they do now !-

we have principes in islam to obey allah , to be good with others and to be good with itself means : follow  pricipesand rules to have a prefect society and to find the  comfort and pure soul

anyways , each ones act like what he wants , if she doesnt wear hijab even if she is muslima means that she has a reason , maybe she has  not more purety in her heart to accpet what is best for her and maybe she want be equal with other women have differents principes and veiws , maybe some rules are hard like in france and she must put off hijab to have her natural right of education !

nobody is perfect and doing somethings haram is a human habit , still allah forgives us becasue he has no interest to make it hard for us or to bring us to the h**l , he just give peaple rules to be safe from others and let others safe from them

Culture , yes , culture participats of what we think and how we live , for that maybe some peaple put off hijab in western countries becasue they dont practise things , they just take them as cultures

just i want say am not from shia , am from sunna but i dont like realy to make difference between muslims , we need just to follow the same book and sunnah of prophet

  10. Persians feel 'oppressed' by the Islamic regime. But, there is no compulsion in Islam which the head of Iran NEEDS to know. I know Iranians personally (Shia ones) and they really don't care for religion much, probably coz they've never been taught. Their parents should give them religious classes to teach them some Islam.

    @ Armita

I know the regime is bad - I've heard that from many Persians. But that's no excuse not to care about religion. Why not study Islam? It's flawless in terms of everything!

  11. So far as i have heard shaiz are also muslims, secondly in some places women wear hizab and in some places not becasue of differnce of culture in every country!

  12. All the apatant liberal  Persians we see in USA:

    1. were not very practicing Muslims when they lived in Iran

    2. Most of them were the corrupt officials  of the government of King of

Iran Raza Shah Pehlawi. They were not religious at all and were

very corrupt people. They fled from Iran to USA when King's

government fell and Khomeni's Islamic Revolution started.

    3. The younger generation of Persians you see in America today are

the children of the people I mentioned in my answer # 2.  They have

adapted American culture because their parents were not practicing

Muslims in the first place and second they did not get religious

education in their childhood in USA.

What you see is entirely different breed of Persians all came to USA which is a blessings of God for Religious Iran. It is better for Iran that the filth is out of their country.  This is how they see it.

These are Muslims for sake only.  They don't have any quality that a Muslim has. You go to Iran and see how majority of Iranians are living in Iran.  You go to universities in Iran and you will see that over 80% of females students are wearing Hijab in the most strict manner as Islam teaches.  You will not find one single girl wearing skirt above knees or low cut blouse  or a Iranian in Biki on beaches of Iran.  It is possible you might see few of Iranian girls in this way on American beaches

because they are product of those Iranrian who fled Iran with their Master King and are raised in USA.

The American Irarians should not be compared with Iranians in general.

Within Iran  you will find  liberal and conservative Irarian Muslims.  But even libearl Iranians living in Iran are much better Muslims than what you see in USA.  I hope you understood my Answer.

  13. well i mean dating is against islam and all but most teens who grow up in the west might date or go to clubs to fit in  but the majority that i know do not

  14. It's more about social culture than ethnic culture. When people move to America, they may feel pressure to fit in with American culture and society, and to do this they abandon their ethnic roots. This includes changing one's style or suddenly abandoning 'ethnic' clothing. In the case of hijab, one's religion is one's roots, so dropping the 'hijab' could be one's effort of trying to assimilate. Unfortunately Islam gets tied to culture a lot, when it shouldn't.

  15. They have a different culture. And about suni and shias, they are brothers.

  16. some people just arnt very good muslims ..

    thats not just persian people

and wat u said about saudi women isnt true either

and it has nothing to do with bieng shia or not they could be sunni

  17. actually. persians are one of the most stricest. but i think its more in there country.

edit: ye, its a lot of people. maybe in ur area its most persian. i guess its just a quincidence or something. cuz in their country there hardcore :P
