  1. you should read both books, but remember, they're just books, these people are only prophets, or teachers. neither jesus nor muhammud were after people who worship them, they wanted to introduce a lifestyle which would be beneficial to the rest of the human race, and would make you, morally, a "good person". the idea of god past a fictionary character isn't even necessary in taking teachings from these books.

  2. Islam offers the truth, and not the path of many blinded people (i.e. Christians). Christians have changed the meaning of the Bible for centuries. The Bible wasn't even what God send down, it was written by man. However, the Qur'an is God's Word and not mankinds, you try and find a hole in the Quran. Not once has Jesus said "Worship me", and you have no clear proof that he did. Clearly, the translations must've gone wrong aswell. Islam is on a straight and guided path, one who submits oneself to God and God alone, s/he naturally becomes a Muslim. This means.............. Musa (Moses) 'Isa (Jesus) Ibraheem (Abraham) Ya'Qub (Job) and many more where Muslims.

Islam offers you the truth and offers to take off the blind fold which is concealing your eyes. It offers to take out the the earplugs out of your ear.And finally, Islam offers to take off the lock on your heart. Peace to the Muslims and to the disbelievers, May Allah Guide You.

  3. In Quran explain why there are many religion in this world.

knowledge how to share your heritage

knowledge how human created on mothers whomb

knowledge about star, moon , sun

    knowledge about anything

  4. I'm not sure you'll get a lot of answers of here, but it seems to me they believe much like we do in the way of morality and the importance of obedience to God. They just have some old testament ways that they still practice that we feal is wrong. They just think that Muhamed is the final prophet before the coming of the messiah, and we believe  the messiah has already come, and John the Baptist was the final prophet to come before the messiah. We also believe the messiah died and rose again because He was without sin. We also believe our Word of God as cannonized back in King James day and today to be infalible and protected by God so that we read what God has intended for us to read.

The Muslims hold to the belief that our Word of God was tainted by human error during translation and that the Koran is the only infallible Word of God because it has not been tainted by translation because they have worked hard to keep the words of Muhammed written in the original language of Arabic. And every translation must also have the original Arabic language written along with it. That's why you'll be hard pressed to find an english koran without the Arabic wording written right along with it.

Just so you know I am personally Christian.

That's right, we are taught that it is rightous to be hurt beaten and even killed for our belief in Christ, and evil to even lift a finger in violence against even those who would hate us to the point of killing us for our love of Christ. - Thank God that it hasn't come to that yet in this part of the world, however it is like that for many missionarys overseas in various parts of the world.

  6. As Salaam to you all,

Can I please set the record straight, in that Islam does not recognise Jesus as depicted within the Bible but we do recognise Isa (ra), which is transposed into the word Jesus due to the Christian faith.

Secondly, the proof of the Christian belief is based on a lie, in that the existance of this man did not happen in the way depicted within the Bible. Let us say he existed, then what was his name, certainly not Jesus, for was he not a Hebrew (Jew) and there is no letter 'J' in their language. There are some who would say that his name comes from the Aramaic, the first language of the Bible. Unfortunately, the first language was Hebrew before Aramaic and then Greek, before German, before English. Even the four gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are wrong and can be proved to not exist before the year 90 A.D. The first Biblical texts came into being around 60 A.D.

If we look at the chronicals of Roman life and their execution procedure we will see that the Christians have even the wrong shape of cross that would have been used at such an event, if it took place at all. The chronicals even reveal that at the proposed time of the execution, one million armed Zelots were camped around the place of the execution and they certainly would not allow a Roman to kill a fellow Jew.

Once we change name to suit a particular purpose, we loose the faith of true knowledge and Christians have certainly done this. Texts have been altered within the Bible since it started to take shape at the council of Nicea, with drastic reconstruction during the 11th century, 12th and 13th centuries as well. In all 15 major re-constructions of the Bible have taken place, while the Glorious Qur'an has had none and is still in its original language and true.

Know your faith, from its beginning and through its life to be able to take it in hand and understand the wisdom that it contains. The Bible is the work of man inspired by God (Allah (SWT)), while the Glorious Qur'an is the word of Allah (SWT) written down by man.

Lastly, within the King James Bible the spoken words of Jesus (ra) are in red ink but man does not know the true words he said, they only asssume that is what he would have said. This is a very big difference to the actual words that may have been spoken. Like all Jew's, they believe that all of their males are the sons of God (Allah (SWT)), while their women are the daughters of Him as well.

    Wa Salaam

  7. Islam is a religion where Jesus Christ (who we call Eisa [Alayhis Salaam], another pronounciation of Jesus) is a person who is a prophet as we believe. So answering to your question, first it needs to be corrected so it says "What Islam got to offer that Christianity does not"

You should know that There are vast similarities in both the religions and we do believe most of the guidelines from the Holy Bible. Infact by following Islam one can fulfill almost all the requirements of Christianity. It is obvious as both came from the same source! and the latter one supersedes the previous ones, as simple as that!

To tell exactly the differences would require much studying and can not be answered here, you better contact Islamic Scholars who would be more than happy to help if you are interested. You can start by searching in Google, you should find many websites that gives the service such as http://www.islamicity.com.

Just to reply on one of your edits, we also believe Jesus Christ as a Savior, and he will come back to earth to save us from the evil. But in Islam he is nothing but a prophet and not Son of God, even Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is also a normal human being and not anything special apart from his remarkable characteristic and lifestyle which made him unique and that he is the messneger that Allah (God) loves the most.

  8. My question is:

What can Jesus peace be upon him offer you whilst he is the created and not the Creator?

"And Allaah said to Jesus, son of Mary: 'Did you ask men to take you and your mother for objects of worship beside Almighty Allaah?' He answered: 'Praise be to You, O Allaah How can I have asked that which is not mine to ask? If I did, You know it and all that is in my mind. I do not know what is in Your mind, O Transcendent, All- Knowing Allaah! I have not conveyed to them except what You have commanded me to convey, namely, Worship and serve Allaah, my and your only Lord. I was a witness for You in their midst. When You caused me to die, You took over the witnessing on them as well as on all else. If You punish them, they are Your creatures; and if You forgive them, You are the Mighty, the Wise." [Qur'an 5: 116-118]

  9. WOW!  So much more!

Jesus's teachings are bare and minimal compared to the teachings of Islam.  It is the same message, but Islam is clearer, there are details on how to live your life.

The overall message of Christianity is to love others as yourself, and that God suffered to save us for our sins.

This suffering is not a part of Islam.  Our religion prevents suffering because it tells us how to live a 'perfect' life.

Trust me, I was raised Christian and I never new what religion was until I converted to Islam.

  10. Jesus Christ never said he is god...

If he said that he is the son of God...

Then u have many gods to worship sister...

Son of God is a figure of speech which many other Prophets were labeled with.

In Psalms 2:7 David is the begotten Son of God.

Jacob is God's firstborn son (Exodus 4:22)

    Solomon is God's son (2 Samuel 7:13-14)

Ephraim is God's firstborn son (Jeremiah 31:9) [how many firstborns?]

Adam is the son of God (Luke 3:38)

There are many other begotten sons mentioned in the Bible....

    As for your basic question.....

Muhammad(pbuh) gave us a way of life...

Whether it is good or not,,,

He taught us how to pray, live, eat, drink, sleep and everything...

But the God of Bible failed miserably to point out the problems of today....

  11. Don't compare today's Christianity with the Message of Jesus Christ Himself. You cannot compare Jesus with Prophet Muhammad (saww). Both did Their Own Parts during Their Own Times, and both are the Respectable and Honorable Prophets of Allah in our eyes. It's just the freakn "people" who turned the Message of Islam by Jesus into the false message of Christianity and calling Jesus (nauzobillah) the son of God, which He Himself never even claimed to be one. Hope you got my point, and that's exactly how it is.

  12. Jesus is a prophet of God. And muslims do believe in him as well. So the thing is , the religion christianity has changed by time. And put the prophet into a role of God.

However all prophets of God, mainly and basically asks the same thing, ' worship only God '

  13. Islam in the Quran offers the whole truth and nothing but the truth about  the Christ by his correct name and not by an alias that was attached by Pontius Pilate for the great hoax of the crucifixion in which only 2 thieves were crucified.

Quran shows Isa explaining his mission to his relatives as a baby in the crib and the Bible agrees with the Quran that the Christ was not crucified but that Romans pulled off the Hoax and crucified 2 thieves with the identification on their crosses a "Jesus' minus the title of Christ.

  14. In Quran:

    003.045 Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

    Al-Qur'an, 003.045 (Aal-E-Imran [The Family of Imran])

004.157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

    Al-Qur'an, 004.157 (An-Nisa [Women])

004.171 O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

    Al-Qur'an, 004.171 (An-Nisa [Women])

004.172 Christ disdaineth nor to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah): those who disdain His worship and are arrogant,-He will gather them all together unto Himself to (answer).

    Al-Qur'an, 004.172 (An-Nisa [Women])

005.017 In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

Al-Qur'an, 005.017 (Al-Maeda [The Table, The Table Spread])

005.075 Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

Al-Qur'an, 005.075 (Al-Maeda [The Table, The Table Spread])

009.030 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

009.031 They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).

    Al-Qur'an, 009.030-031 (At-Tawba [Repentance, Dispensation])

  15. Hello and welcome to the Ramadan section.  As I am sure you know, Islam recognizes all prophets from Adam to Muhammad, including Jesus.  Every prophet was sent to a certain people at a certain time but with the same message, ie to worship God.  Let me preface these comments specifcally about Jesus by saying that I grew up in the church and am well versed in Christian doctrine.  Also, I do not see the issue as "Islam vs Jesus" because unlike Jews or Hindus for example, we believe in Jesus. What Islam has to offer is a direct relationship between the individual and their creator.  No middle man, no intermediaries of any kind.  Islam also offers clarity.  The well known biblical verse for example (John 14:6) is often quoted by Christians to support their view that salavation is obtained only through Jesus.  However, a prophet can say he is "the way" meaning guidance comes from him via God, Similarly, he can say that he is "the truth" in the sense that he is the bringer of the truth from God. And "he is the life" can mean that he is the one who leads us to eternal life.  As for John 3:16, many Christian and bibilical scholars have admitted that these words were never uttered by Christ himself, rather they were introduced by Gospel writers.  Whats more the verse is written in third person rather than first person.  Why would Jesus speak in the third person?  Why would he not say “For God so loved the world that he gave me, his only Son so that everyone who believes in me might be saved.”.  Its in third person because it is not a direct quote from the source. Jesus also himself referrred to himself (in the first person) as a man in the following verses (John 8:40) & (Luke 24:19).  If there are other verses which contradict those verses, then the other thing that islam has to offer is continuity in message. Lastly,  Islam  offers more than just lip-service.  It is a complete way of life and not something you think about only one day a week.  Islam also offers a universal outlook for humanity.  We embrace people not by "witnessing" to them and helping them only because we want to convert them, but in a sincere and unbiased manner.  It is a way of life fwith a universal message which complements and completes the previously revealed messages.

  16. Well in Islam, Jesus Christ is a Prophet. In terms of 'offering' can you be more specific please =]

So Islam offers inner-peace to you. It offers direct relationship between you and Allah Almighty.

And also - when Allah Almighty Judges a Jew, He will Judge him on the Message that he sent to the Jews through Moses. Same with Christians through Jesus so on for all nations.

In general this is the difference:

    Hope this helped =)

  17. not quite relevant question....islam is a religion of peace, while Jesus Christ is just a person n messenger of God...like the prophet Muhammad SAW

  18. Well two thing come to mind.....The Holy Qur'an and the Prophet of Allah Muhammad peace be upon him and his progeny. First if i was a christian, i will lose them both, but since i am a Muslim, i have the Holy Quran, Muhammad peace be upon him and his pure progeny & and Jesus as messiah and prophet (pbuh) and i do not deny his immaculate conception  example  (Judiasm) or his miracles, that he performed, by the will of Allah. So i have the best of both worlds.........I wonder if you know that there is a chapter (Surah) wholey devoted to Virgin Mary called MARY? And that Jesus peace be upon him is mentioned....

I had to edit it out, the answer, cause i wrote it in  a hurry, and did not make sense.

    Peace

Who did Christ himself claim to be ?

    Who was Jesus Christ ?

The Jews claim that Christ was the offspring of an adulterous relationship.

The Christians believe that Jesus was one person in the God of the Trinity.

The sources of Islam makes it abundantly clear that Isa, the Messiah, was, in fact, a messenger who was sent to the Israelites.

Who did Christ himself claim to be ?

Has Christ ever claimed that he was one person amongst the triple God-head of the Trinity? Is there any evidence in the Bible to the effect that he did make such a claim? Let us examine the matter.

    Father, Son and Holy sprit

The following verses from the Gospel according to Matthew have been produced as evidence in support of the Trinity: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19,20)

These verses are, however, not the proofs for Trinity. Indeed, these verses are better suited as criticism against the Trinity. The only thing that is evident from these verses is that there are three entities namely the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. However, it is not given to understand here that these three are one. If these three were indeed the three personages of the One God then it should have been made clear in the verses themselves or Christ should have declared it himself. Why did Christ, who taught concerning the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, not say himself that these three were the personages of the One God? Is it that Christ had covered up the 'fact' that these three were one from the masses? No. That can never be. The Messiah, who had come as the very messenger of truth would never have covered up anything which he himself knew and which would have served as the means of salvation for his people. He, who had shown the truth and the way, had never abstained from conveying to the masses any belief that would have provided life eternal itself. Yet he had never given out - not even once - the slightest hint of the doctrine of Trinity. It is evident from this itself that the idea of the Trinity does not fall into that group of fundamental beliefs which would serve to provide for eternal life.

'I and the Father are One'

Some have asked the question as to whether Christ had not himself said that "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) and whether this does not then imply that he and God were, indeed, two parts of the same and single entity. Let us examine this verse in all its completeness. "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." (John 10:27-30)

There is not even a single indication anywhere in these verses which serve to convincingly present the claim that both Jesus and the Father belong to the triple parts of the same Divine essence. If that is so, then why has it been said here that "I and the Father are one" ?

Observe another of the statements from the Gospel of John: "... that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent me. I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and You in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent me and: have loved them even as You have loved me." (John 17:21-23)

In these verses it has been said that not only is God one in Christ alone, but the followers too constitute this oneness with God. If it is claimed that Christ is one in a triple God-head based on the aforementioned statement, "I and the Father are one", it must then be conceded, again on the basis of the above mentioned statement, that the followers of Christ, too, will find an existence within the Divine essence. It is then not the oneness in essence which is mentioned in these verses, but the oneness in ideal and belief. Here, it is the Greek word hen which has been translated as 'one'. This word is never the oneness in essence; it is the oneness in the attitude of co-operation that is implied here.

The saying of Christ that "I and the Father are one" is merely similar in intent to the saying used in the Malayalam language to the effect that "We both are bound to each other (in purpose)." Both Christ and the Father, who are involved in conveying the Divine message are, indeed, one. The followers of Christ, who accept it and attain to life eternal are also members in that communion. It is the communion of the Father, the prophet and of the apostles.

'He who has seen me has seen the father'

Some have asked based on the saying of Jesus, "he who has seen me has seen whether he could not, indeed, be God. Can man ever see God? The fact is that this can never be. Both the Old and the New Testaments have thrown light on this reality. Look at what the book of Exodus quotes Jehovah as having told Moses: "But , he said, 'you cannot see My Face, for no-one may see Me and live.'" (Exodus 33:20) If Christ was, indeed, God, then it would not have been possible for the masses to have seen him. As for Christ, he had lived as one seen by the people and as one seeing them in turn.

What then is the implication of the statement that "he who has seen me has seen father"? Examine this statement in full. "Philip said, 'Lord show us the Father and that will be enough for us.'

Jesus answered: 'Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? " (John 14:8,9). Here Christ has made it clear that none can at any time ever see God and that it is through Jesus that one must come to know God Himself.

Look at what John himself has to say, "No-one has ever seen God, but God, through His only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." (John 1:18). Look at this verse in particular. The phrase used has been that 'No one has ever seen God.' There is no two opinion concerning the fact that this was written after Christ. This has been stated by John who only knew that the people had seen Christ. This means that John had never believed that Jesus Christ was God. Indeed, in the usage of 'God' Christ was never included. Of that we may be certain. It is, therefore, clear that John was a person who knew nothing of the God of the Trinity.

Divine truth was made manifest through Jesus. For he is the messenger of God. Indeed it is simply because of that anyone who knew Jesus came to know of God as well. This means that the son has made him (God) manifest. (John 1:18). This is the essence of the saying of Christ that ' he who has seen me has seen the father. Even when Christ said that "the words that ye hear are not mine, but of the Father who hath sent me" (John 14:24), it was the same message that is being conveyed.

    Son of God

Another of the claims has been that as Christ has declared himself to be the son of God and that as his followers never discouraged the practice of calling him as such, it must follow that he did, indeed, possess such divinity. Whenever the Bible does make use of the term 'Son of God' it is necessary, firstly, to examine the meaning that has been intended there. The only Biblical meaning that can be conferred upon the term 'Son of God' is a man, particularly appointed by God Himself. Paul had written that "As many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14)

The term 'Son of God' has been, therefore, reserved only for the elect of God. This has been the usage both in the Old and the New Testaments. Christ himself has made this clear. "If he called them 'gods' to whom the word of God came - and the Scripture cannot be broken - what about the one whom the Father set apart as His very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'?" (John 10:35,36). This would then mean that even as the God of the Israelites had referred to those to whom the Book was revealed as being gods, so was Christ, the messenger, who was sent into the world for the purpose of the guidance called the 'Son of God'.

It can be seen that the term 'Son of God' has been employed as a way of addressing right from the Old Testament itself. In fact, Jacob, Solomon, Ephraim and David: all are the sons of God in the language of the Old Testament.

"Then say to Pharaoh, 'This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son, ..." (Exodus 4:22)

"I will be his father, and he shall be My son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men." (Samuel 7:14)

"They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel's father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son." (Jeremiah 31:9)

"I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, 'You are My son; today I have become your Father.'" (Psalm 2:7)

If it is contended that Christ is one in the three personages of the Divine Trinity for the reason that he has been addressed as the son of God, then it must also be conceded that all the prophets in the Old Testament, who were referred t

  20. Through Islam you get to know your creator.

Jesus Christ (I dont blame him) has been associated with God which God hates the most!

  21. All right, this may not maek ANY sense at all--- but for me it offers some clarity. Even when I was a Christian, I didn't understand why Jesus was prayd to and worshipped when he is the son of God. It made it seem like people forgot to pray to God because they were always praying to his Son.

yes I know about the Trinity. But for me, Islam is much simpler. And I was a Christian, so I know. It's clearer, and there are a lot more answers. For me, the Qur'an is like a sequel to the Bible.

  22. Masha'allah, I am in awe of UmmHuda's answer. Siffte and Sweet Princess helped expand upon that too.

  23. Islam (monotheism) is the religion that jesus' pbuh taught

the trinity is a pagan doctrine he didnt

So you need to follow Jesus and embrace monotheism (Islam)
