Muslims help please?

i had two fish n they died. i don't feel right to flush them down the tolit, it just doesn't seem Islamic. since we are not to mistreat animals. and they ment special to me. i also don't want to throw them away in the trash. so would it be werid Islamicly if i bury them?

I am a Muslim but unfortunately not a good one. I will try to answer this question to the best of my ability. I would deffinetly not flush the fishes down the toilet as that is not moral and I personally dont think its the norm. Throwing them away in the trash is just immoral so don't even think about that. The best we can do is bury them and just hope the best and pray to allah (swt) that what we do is the best for all. I think that will be the best.

Wa Alaykum Assalaam. I'd say go ahead and bury them. They were special to you and any other way does seem like you're mistreating them, even though they are dead. I'd bury them. If you have a cat who goes outdoors, make sure you bury them in a box or deep. I knwo that sounds like a joke, but trust me on that one, sister.

Yeah but if you don't bury them deep enough it's gonna smelll really really bad and also some animal might come dig them up.  Unless you're gonna bury them like 2 or 3 feet deep, it might just be best to throw em out or flush them.

I am only familiar with what Muslims believe in terms of the death and burial of people.....if I were you, I'd bury the fish.  

Religion aside.....I agree with you about the toilet thing.  That wouldn't feel right to me either.
