So, modern Christians dont really believe in one God. Considering Jesus as a personal savior is considered a major sin in Islam

2) Do Christians really understand the concept of the last day? This is the day when all our actions would be accounted for and Allah will decide if we go to h**l or heaven.  Being a muslim doesn't automatically guarantee us paradise...but being a christian does.....then what is the significance of the last day for Christians if they have already decided they are going to heaven?

There are 2 things you missed here.

1. Yes, Torah contained God's words. The followers are accepted by God, although they are misled by defiant ones. It is not necessary for these misled people to believe in Muhamad to be accepted by God. They were/are just misled by others/ancestors.

2. Quran mentioned Jews not referring to the Jews today, but the defiant Jews then who were revealed the truth but refused to accept the truth especially due to PRIDE.

Therefore, during that time, certain verses were (i) removed, (ii) not inserted as commanded by God. Due to pride, many killings of many new prophets among the Jews were executed by the defiant Jews (due to pride, family/ancestors pride as the top religious people/authority). Yes there were many false prophet too at that time, but there were genuine prophets of God that victimized by the (i) the generalization of false prophets, and (ii) deliberately refuse to accept the truth due to the status the family possesed  & especially pride, and one of the victims including Prophet Eisa (Jesus).

3. The Chronology & the message:

(i) God revealed Torah. PRIDE become evil that make people reject the truth & go against God.

Message to Muslims today: Pride is still the enemy that many Muslims go against God & commit bribe, make tyranic rules/fatwas that protect their own people or gender (pride too) & let rape victims become victims of their sharia laws.

(ii) God sent Eisa (Jesus) & Injeel. But people with extraordinary abilities together with pride & extreme passion of the followers made them idolized/worship human instead of God.

Message to the Muslims: Greedy Muslims today have extreme passion for money, women & status that they defy God by committing all the wrongdoings. Many Muslims also have wrongly regard Muhamad to a level which is 'perfect', infallible & that some people even ask for forgiveness at his grave.

(iii) God sent AlQuran & explained all that (in between the lines). And to debunk that whatever claims that his messenger Jesus is God, God Himself had described concisely about Himself in the Quran Chapter 112 titled "Sincerity".

Conclusion: The People of the Books are accepted by God. You need not to convert to Islam if you have yet to understand & have the solid faith.

But myself, as a Muslim & other Muslims who know the chronology, I cannot defy the Last Revelation (AlQuran).

The above Noble Verses clearly speak about the righteous Jews and Christians who believe in Allah Almighty and do righteousness and will have their Great Reward and enter Paradise.

However, according to Allah Almighty, from among the people of the Book, most of the ones who will gain Paradise are Christians; few of them are Jews.   Let us look at the following Noble Verses:

"Strongest among men in enmity to the believers [Muslims] wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, 'We are Christians': because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. (The Noble Quran, 5:82)"

"The Jews say: 'God's hand is tied up.' Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from God increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, God doth extinguish it; but they strive to do mischief on earth. And God loveth not those who do mischief. (The Noble Quran, 5:64)"

"But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for God loveth those who are kind. (The Noble Quran, 5:13)"

We must also know that according to Islam most of the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) are perverted transgressors, deceiving, in some cases are hypocrites, and most of them are considered Truth rejecters!  Let us look at the following Noble Verses:

"Ye [Muslims] are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in God. If only the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. (The Noble Quran 3:110)"  

"And they say: 'None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian.' Those are their (vain) desires. Say: 'Produce your proof if ye are truthful.'  (The Noble Quran, 2:111)"

"A section of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians during Prophet Muhammad's time] say: Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers [Muslims], but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may (themselves) turn back (from Islam).  (The Noble Quran, 3:72)"

"Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: 'The Guidance of God,-that is the (only) Guidance.' Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor helper against God.  (The Noble Quran, 2:120)"

"They say: 'Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation).' Say thou: 'Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with God.'  (The Noble Quran, 2:135)"

"They do blaspheme who say:  'Allah is Christ the son of Mary.'  But said Christ: 'O Children of Israel!  Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.'   Whoever joins other gods with Allah - Allah will forbid him the Garden, and the Fire will be his abode.  There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help.  (The Holy Quran, 5:72)"

This is not a message of tolerance to the disbelievers, but a declaration of immunity, disgust with and dissociation from them as long as they are disbelievers. Its object is to disappoint them absolutely and finally that in the matter of religion the party of Allah's Messenger and his followers would ever come to terms with them. This same declaration of immunity and expression of disgust has been made in the Makki Surahs revealed after this Surah successively. Thus, in Surah Yunus, it was said: "If these people deny you, say to them: 1 am responsible for my deeds and you are responsible for yours: you are not accountable for what I do, and I am not accountable for what you do." (v. 41). Then further on in the same Surah it was said: "O Prophet, say: O mankind, if you are still in doubt concerning my Faith, know that I do not worship those whom you worship beside Allah, but I worship that Allah alone, Who has the power to cause your death." (v. 104). In Surah Ash-Shu'ara it was said: "If they disobey you, tell them: I am not responsible for what you do." (v. 216). In Surah Saba it was said: "Say to them: you will not be questioned for the errors we have committed, nor shall we be answerable for what you are doing. Say, our Lord will gather us together, then He will judge between us rightly." (w. 25-26). In Surah az-Zumar: "Tell them plainly: O my people, do whatever you will, so shall 1. Soon you shall come to know as to whom comes the disgraceful torment and who gets the enduring punishment." (w. 39-40). Then the same lesson was taught in Madinah to aII the Muslims: "There is indeed an excellent example for you in Abraham and his companions when they said to their people plainly: `We have nothing to do with you and your gods, whom you worship beside God: we have renounced you and there has arisen between us and you enmity and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah, the One." (Al-Mumtahinah: 4). These continuous explanations of the Qur'an do not leave any room whatever for the doubt that the verse Lakum dims kum wa liya din dces not mean: "You may go on following your religion and allow me to follow mine", but it is the kind of declaration made in Surah Az-Zumar: 14: "O Prophet, say to them: I shall serve Allah alone, making my religion sincerely His. As for you, you may serve whomever you please beside Him." (v. 14).

From this verse lmam Abu Hanifah and Imam Shafe`i have deduced that kufr (unbelief ), as a whole, is one community, however discordant and different from each other be the religions of the unbelievers; therefore, a Jew can inherit a Christian, and a Christian a Jew, and likewise the unbeliever of one religion can inherit the un-believer of another religion, if there exists between them a relationship by descent or marriage, or some other connection, which necessitates the passage of inheritance of one to another. On the contrary, Imam Malik, Imam Auza`i and Imam Ahmad hold the view that the followers of one religion cannot inherit the followers of another religion. They deduce this from the Hadith which has been related on the authority of Hadrat 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-As, saying that Allah's Messenger (upon whom be peace) said: "The people of two different communities cannot inherit each other." (Musnad Ahmad, Abu Da'ud, Ibn Majah, Daraqutni). A ,Hadith with almost the same content has been related by Tirmidhi from Hadrat Jabir, by Ibn Hibban from Hadrat `Ahdullah bin `Umar, and by Bazzar from Hadrat Abu Hurairah. Dealing with this legal problem comprehensively, the well known Hanafi Imam; Shamsul-A'immah Sarakhsi, writes: "The unbelievers can inherit each other mutually for alI those reasons for which the Muslims inherit each other mutually, and they can also inherit each other in certain other cases in which the Muslims do not inherit each other ... The fact is that Allah recognizes only two ways of life, the religion of Truth and the religion of falsehood; that is why He has declared: Lakum dine-kum wa liya din. And He has classified the people also into two groups, one group will go to Paradise and this consists of the believers, and the second group will go to h**l and this consists of the disbelievers collectively. And He has declared the two groups only as the potential opponents of each other: "These are the two parties who have disputed about their Lord." (AI-Hajj: 19)........................................

While you can still follow that path being a christian it is much harder to maintain being a righteous believer in God alone. The word "Islam" in the Quran has been used for various meanings. In some places it is a 1) Religion,  2) Submission to God through peace with him.

Obviously the second category does not say convert. IT only says submit to God. So as long as you are in submission to God you are a Muslim (in the literal sense of the Arabic word), whether you wish to be called so or not (it does not matter if you are still Jewish or Christian).

The verses 2:62 and 5:69, clearly enforce this concept.

However ..............

What a submitter to God is required to do. Let us take ourselves in an era BEFORE Jesus. We know that the Torat is a collection of books that came from Moses upto Jesus, through various prophets. Then you also had many messengers within yourselves. Each time new books came in, you were required to reform accordingly. The disobedience resulted in severe retribution from God.

Now believing in a messenger does NOT mean that you start reciting the name of the messenger and declaring him as a messenger etc. It means believing in the message he brought.

The Quran also states that, God had informed Bani Israel (Children of Israel) that, He will specify His Mercy to those among them who would believe in the GENTILE Prophet e.g. the Message that the Gentile prophet brings.

Obviously the Gentile prophet was NONE but Mohammad.

Now believing in the Quran and upholding it is Equivalent to believing in Mohammad and acknowledging him as a prophet. It does NOT imply that you start singing his praise as the STUPID and InExperienced and Ignorant majority of Muslims do. It simply means taking his message (Quran) seriously and abiding.

God himself says in the Quran, that IT is very similar to the Torat. The people of knowledge among the children of Israel, will not make a mistake to realize that it is from God and the final scripture (awaited).

Also...

It provides explaination to MANY things and laws that the children of Israel disputed upon.

In short it is a mercy to them.

So, if you turn to Quran, you will be doing so, for the good of your own soul. And EVEN if you continue to call yourself Jewish, as long as you abide by the Quran (uphold it), you will be a Muslim (submitter to God).

2-  Whether Mohammad fits in Torah or Not. It is more a matter of ego and discrimination than logic. The first question to ask is "Do you really have the real Torah with you"??

Don't include Mishnah and Gemarah !!! (that is ALL man made).

1-  The Torah was lost during the first destruction of the temple. What is now called the Torah is the reproduced Torah by "Ezra" (or Eizer) after about 160 yrs after its destruction.

I don't think anyone can be sure to consider it as a true copy of the original.

3-  Keeping the belief and prejudicism aside: Read the Quran carefully and SEVERAL SEVERAL TIMES. Each time you will receive a new message of wisdom. You have raised many questions and each requires a detailed clarification !  However It is not the Muslims who want you to convert but the God himself for the sake of Truth and Righteousness.

Verse 5:66 "...and what is sent down to them from their Lord..." It includes Quran which reminds you of your past and invite you to the Blessings of your Lord.

Muhammad is the most foretold prophet. All prophecies have been fulfilled and no other prophet was Like / similar to Moses than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

DEUTERONOMY 18:18 - 22.

18 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously:

thou shalt not be afraid of him."

Muhammad is the only match of Moses - their natural birth, control & leadership, acceptance of the nation, statesmanship and creator of a new nation. All the successes and Achievements of Muhammad (pbuh) makes him the foretold prophet from his brethern!

Covenant with children of Israel / Groups:

God made covenant with Abraham for the Promised Land and his sons and descendants still fight for their rights!  Accordingly the covenants made with Abraham, Moses and Jecob are applicable on their nations collectively. Christianity is not a new religion by Jesus but it is the extension of Judaism therefore they are included therein!

You may or may not accept the above clarification but pls. try to understand the meaning and spirit of the Current Word of God - The Quran.
