Musnad looking good in Richard Howard-Vyse Memorial Handicap, Anderiego to upset proceedings in Charles Henry Memorial Handicap
After plenty of struggle, Musnad finally got it right last time, clinching a close win at Musselburgh. With the winning key in his hand, the 4-year-old has more to offer in the Richard Howard-Vyse Memorial Handicap, taking place at York on Saturday, June
16th.
The class 4 meeting will be kicked off at 16:15 (GMT). On slow ground, twenty speedy runners are set to compete for a purse worth £7,763.
Alongside Musnad, the confirmed participants are: Aquarian Spirit, Edmaaj, Rustic Deacon, Carragold, Jonny Lesters Hair, Aerodynamic, Jo´burg, Merchant Of Medici, Dolphin Rock, Koo And The Gang, Moheebb, Cool Marble, European Dream, Fremont, Robert The Painter,
Day Of The Eagle and Switchback.
After making a few terrible outings, the 4-year-old managed to unleash his best at Haydock, securing the runner-up place behind Cono Zur. He kept making improvement and eventually demonstrated a fantastic show at the start of this month. Brian Ellison’s
trainee beat Oriental Scot by a neck’s distance to grab the top prize.
Aquarian Spirit has been struggling since winning twice at Lingfield. Similarly, Edmaaj needs plenty of luck to break the shackles. Both runners are mighty talented, but Musnad seems to have the best chance of winning the 1m208y event.
Charles Henry Memorial Handicap is another class 4 meeting at York today. The 6-furlong event is scheduled to commence at 17:15 (GMT). Among the confirmed entries are:
Rasaman, Green Park, Anderiego, Klynch, Little Jimmy Odsox, Lucky Numbers, Bond Fastrac, Toby Tyler, Caranbola, Defence Council, Jedward, Go Go Green, Last Sovereign, Ginger Ted, Hotham, Mandalay King and Saucy Brown.
Rasaman has earned the highest starting price following his second at Musselburgh earlier this month. Bond Fastrac is also full of confidence following his terrific win at the start of this month. Lucky Numbers is another fascinating candidate.
There are many dangerous runners in the line-up, but according to our calculations, Anderiego has a good chance of winning today. The 4-year-old was runner-up in his recent appearance at Newcastle. He has steadily returned to form since joining David O'Meara
and looks open to the greater improvement. We wish the best of luck to all runners.
