Must You know how to swim in order to go swimming with dolphins?

I love dolphins and I will be going to a resort in the caribean the offers swimming with dolphins but is swimming really requiered?I really want to try this but I dont know how to swim..for those who have done it is this a requierement in order to go in the tanks with the dolphin

It would probably help to be able to swim, in fact some places might require you to be able to, so check beofre you pay the hefty price.

But there are places like Sea World (In Australia) where little kids go swimming with the dolphins and you dont have to be able to swim (its for little kids, who cant swim)

Also, in the tanks you have to wear a life vest (floating device) so you stay aflote (the water can be over 30m deep). So mabey you wouldn't need to.

Mabey you could get some basic swimming lessons before you go?

Sorry if I wasnt much help, Iv only done it once in Hawaii. It was fun, but not worth the price, then again hawaii was expencive.

it depends if it is swimming with dolphins or diving with dolphins   swimming is good to know anyway so to swim with them will be more enjoyable if you know how to swim but if diving with them you dont need to swim that well      good luck have fun
