  1. Depends on company policy.  My husband doesn't "accrue" vacation time.  What this means is that his comp time is given to him on the anniversary date of his employment so in effect, he doesn't earn it throughout the year.  If he leaves anytime during the year, he will forfit his comp time for that year.

    So, find out if you accrue you time throughout the year or if you are allocated it like my example.


  2. You need to look in your employee handbook.  It would depend on the company policy, or ask your HR department

  3. not necessairly - depends on your company's policy- maybe you only accrue vacation time a couple of days a month so you might not get 2-3 wks vacation paid out this early in the calendar year
