Must haves for a beginner?

I'm planning to start wearing make up this september. i want to look natural, so what kind products should i use? what brands are the best?

Well it would first be a good idea to consider what skin type you have and how much coverage you need.

Oily

Combination

Sensitive

Normal

Dry

Mineral Make up is great but doesn't always have great coverage unless it is usually a little bit more expansive.

Tinted Moisturizers are great for looking natural and have minimal coverage.

If you get a liquid or a mousse foundation they have medium to heavy coverage.

I also recomend a good concealor and some moisturizer I use one by elf it is really great you can find it at www.eyeslipsface.com its smooth and creamy and covers just about everything.

And to add some color to your face I recomend some bronzer or blush.

And for your eyes a water proof mascara by maybelline or covergirl is super great for a natural look you can get it in brown/black, brown, clear, or a lighter black.

I also recomend getting lipglosses they are really great to have and look more natural and fresh than some lipsticks do.

when i wanted to start wearing makeup my mom took me to macy's (this was before we had a sephora in my mall), but here's the basics i got...

the prices may seem expensive, but good makeup is better for ur skin, it looks better, and i think it lasts longer then drugstore makeup....

Lip gloss and mascara!!!! That is the make up I first started wearing, it looks natural and its easy to put on. Since you are starting off I suggest you just buy your make up at CVS or another drugstore like that. You dont want to spend too much money.....

I happen to like a brand called e.l.f.  it stands for eyes, lips, face. they have a website; i think it's www.elf.com  everything is about a dollar so it's not so bad to experiment.

Bare minerals foundation, buy a starter kit it's really worth it. There's a technique to applying the powder but you don't want to use chemically goopy foundation on your skin that will clog your pores.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, it's America's #1 they say, cheap and good for beginners.

Rimmel London Kohl pencil eyeliner. It's soft so it's a lot easier to apply and it's the best eyeliner I've been able to buy at a drug store. They also have the best liquid eyeliner, but that's a lot harder to apply.

L'Oreal ColorJuice lip gloss is really great and handy. Otherwise I also like Wet & Wild lipsticks, they're really easy to use, cheap and have a lot of fun colors. They have a good consistency and wear, I never buy $8 lipsticks anymore because I really don't think they're worth it!

Theres this bare minerals kit, & it costs 60 dollars, but it includes a foundations primer, three of the best brushes i've ever used, two foundations, warmth wich is kind of like blush, and mineral veil.
