Must not we allow the girls to take a leak in emergencies?

I have seen boys and men opening their zips and doing their business all over India but the same doesn't apply to girls and women because the parents have said their daughters to wait and hold till they reach the bathrooms that are non-existing. wickypedia "public urination by females is not allowed for modesty reasons even when toilets are unavailable in places like India though public urination by males is accepted. It is common to find both men and women urinating in places like Africa, Vietnam and Cambodia because of lack of toilet facilities whereas in some places like India public urination is practiced by men only."

If you have to go then you have to go - but you do need to be aware of culture and public decency. I would take a girl behind a bush or down a secluded alley or behind something where she could urinate out of the public gaze.

Now that I've achieved the status of top contributor, I feel a huge responsibility to solve all the world's problems.  Somehow, though, I thought I was destined for more important matters than this.  

Wouldn't the obvious answer be to build more public restrooms, for both men and women?
