  1. Very interesting fight.  You know before Hagler busted him up, Hampsho was a very strong fighter well known for his ability to take a punch.  Duran of course is a legendary fighter more known as a great lightweight fighter than anything else, but still won titles in several weight classes including a middleweight title fight against Iran Barkely.  He gave Marvin Hagler a very good fight before losing a 15 round decision.  Duran is a much smarter fighter than the rough housing Hampsho and would counter punch him and give it right back to him as Duran was certainly no stranger to getting tough when it was necessary.  The speed and the skill of Duran would offset the strength of Hampsho and he would win by unanimous decision in a very tough fight.

  2. thumbs up to blowbyblow, good answer, and i agree...duran in 8 or 10 rounds.

  3. Good fight you know I had to look back and see who posted this fight I should have know en but I do know one thing you are or were a match maker I know I,m right on this one. Any  way I will pick Duran on this one for a couple of reasons first I saw what Marvin Hagler did to Hamsho who by the way is one of my all time fighters I like Hagler mad Hamsho cry and sequel like a girl in the ring before getting Knocked out and Duran fought Hagler even late into both of the fighters careers. This would be a slug fest for about 8 rounds Durans power and aggressiveness would ware down Hamsho and he would quit on his stool after a bloody  hard fought 8 rounds. Keep up the good work on these fights
