Mustafa Kamal targeting a bilateral series against India this year – Cricket News Update
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Mustafa Kamal, is hopeful of his team making a full-fledged tour of India sometime later this year.
The BCB president told ESPNcricinfo that his Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) counterpart, N Srinivasan, had assured him that they could host the Bengali Tigers by the end of this year.
"We know nothing is on the FTP and Bangladesh have never been on a full tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kamal-c70069, who is in India these days to attend a function of the BCB's new sponsors, Sahara. "We'll have to leave it
to the Indian side, we can't pressurise them," he added further.
Kamal also revealed that he had some fruitful discussions with his BCCI counterpart on the sidelines of the recent ICC meetings and hoped the latest progress reflects those.
The Men in Blue have a busy season between September 2012 and March 2013, which will see them playing in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746. The time period will see Dhoni
and co. playing ten Tests and an excessive amount of T20 and One Day Internationals.
The only vacant spot on India’s hectic calendar is the two-week long Christmas break, between the T20 and ODI series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, and Pakistan Cricket Board is already in action to fill this gap in the calendar with a short one-day series against the
arch-rivals.
The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Srinivasan-c90829 to witness the IPL final last week, is also hopeful of finalising a deal with the BCCI counterpart during the upcoming annual conference of International Cricket Council in Kuala
Lumpur, later this month.
Asked if there was a possibility of India, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and Bangladesh playing a tri-series during the fortnight Christmas break, Kamal said the BCCI president had told him, "leave it to me, it will be a complete tour".
It is pertinent to mention here that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mustafa-Kamal-c78122 had earlier this year agreed to send his team to Pakistan in April for a short one-day series, but a court order suspended that series for four weeks. However, more than a month has passed and there is no
news of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 touring Pakistan.
