Mustang Alexis favourite for Saturday’s 2012 Scott Jamieson Stagger Stakes at Newcastle
Although Mustang Alexis will look to spoil his party, Total Panic is in great position to seal the top spot in the 2012 Scott Jamieson Stagger Stakes, to be held at Newcastle on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
The 480 metres Grade A2 race will begin at 15:18 (GMT). Alongside a lot of respect, the winner will earn a cash prize of £112.

Mustang Alexis and Total Panic can be rated as joint favourites. Both hounds have been performing well over the past weeks but the latter definitely has an edge.
The black dog is coming into this contest after a stunning victory earlier this week. On February 22, he defeated Mustang Caoimhe by four and a half lengths to clinch the top slot.
It was certainly a welcome win for D. Calvert’s trainee who appeared runner-up in four consecutive races before the latest one. All eyes are on Black Shaw’s son out of Bradan Niamh and his chances cannot be overlooked.
Mustang Alexis will be a huge threat to Total Panic. Yet, one point that goes against her is a terrible loss that she suffered on February 21. The white and black b***h could only manage to beat the back marker, finishing fifth by four lengths.
After a poor performance, her confidence might be a bit shaky. However, the bookmakers are still rating her highly, expecting a thumping performance on Saturday night.
It will not be an easy outing for Hestias Lad but the black dog still deserves some respect. His previous two outings were quite terrible as he finished fourth and fifth respectively.
On the other hand, Fagans Rambler is coming into this clash after a couple of decent performances. The black and white son of Big Daddy Cool out of Talking Terms sealed second position in both of his previous races. If he manages to improve
his running time only a bit, he will be the one to watch out for.
Blue And Cool and Skywalker Ellie don’t have bright chances of thriving. The former is one of the oldest active hounds in the town and her age is certainly a glaring issue for the punters.
Final Prediction
It will be a tussle between Mustang Alexis and Total Panic. Total Panic’s better stats might boost up his confidence to some extent. The rest of the pack is unlikely to challenge their dominance.
