Old is gold sure, but then all that glitters is not gold. Since we are sure Sachin Tendulkar will not be retiring even after the 2011 World Cup and the BCCI selectors will also never hand him a resignation letter. So the News of the World must spawn a sting
operation that will show that he is giving anger management classes to Ricky Ponting.
But it really is something to reflect upon. All the master-class players will either be kicked out of their national team or their bodies will scream for freedom from the cricket gear. What will happen after that? The current generation will always compare
the younger lot with the ones they grew up with and are accustomed to see, hear, and read about in the news. This is sad. Imagine Justin Bieber-esque wicketkeepers appealing in their teeny voice through the stumps’ microphone. That will be doomsday, I tell
you.
Muttiah Muralitharan
This is one goodbye that is confirmed. The 38-years and 319 days old legendary bowler announced right before the World Cup that this would be his last appearance in the tournament. And, yes the Sri Lankans need to win the Cup for Murali. He is sure-short
vampire-ish, his eyes say it all. He lures the batsmen to their doom as they get enchanted by his suspicious twirling arm. He might be retiring from the national team but will continue to make funny and scary faces at the IPL and English county teams. Seriously,
he scares young children.
Ricky Ponting
The Australian midget is already losing it. He smashes the LCDs in the host countries, he fights with the umpires, and he injures his pinkie and cries about it. While Tendulkar is like a really old bottle of wine that is priceless, Ponting is like a bottle
of wine that lays unopened in your attic. The Ponting bottle has fizzled out and it does not have anything else to offer. Mr. Angry’s temper tantrums are enough evidence of the way his batting prowess has diminished in recent years. He badly needs a vacation
or need to take a trip down the rehabilitation centre. Oh, and he is 36-years and 73 days old.
Jacques Kallis
A bottle of cheap dye and transplant cannot hide the fact that you are old. Botox, maybe, but a hair transplant can never hide the flaws. The 35-year and 137-days old squint-eyed South African is at the peak of his best cricket at the moment, but the question
is how far he can go with the newly hair? He seems all set to give up unless he wants to retire from Test format and focus on the shorter formats of the game.
John Davison
He is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Canada-c748’s most experienced all-rounder and he is the oldest man in the cricket’s biggest extravaganza. He will probably be playing for his country four years later. But the sad part is that there will be no Canada in next edition of the tournament.
So work the bat and ball one last time, old Davison.

Does anyone even remember him? The 36-year and 198 days old is a West Indian batsman. Now you remember him? He has been around for so long that we all forgot about him that he still exists. It won’t be wrong to say that he had a small cabin in Noah’s Ark.
But his nurdle innings have turned out to be quite a nightmare. To be fair, he does not come anywhere close to 36 at all. The Botox really works after all.
