He also holds the record for taking the maximum wickets (Tests, ODIs and T20 included) that is 1328 wickets (800 test wickets, 515 ODI wickets,11 T20 wickets). Muralitharan has also gained a record for the most ‘10 wickets in a test match’’ he has done this 22 times and is the only player to have gotten 10 wickets against every test playing nation.
He is the fastest bowler to reach the 350,400,450,500,550,600,650,700,750 and 800th wicket mark in minimum test matches played. He is also the only player in the world of cricket who took 10 wickets in four consecutive matches (10 wickets per match), he repeated this achievement twice.
