Muttiah Muralitharan finally makes it to the Big Bash League - Cricket News Update
Sri Lankan spin wizard http://www.senore.com/Cricket/M-Muralitharan-c1864 has finally made the decision to feature in the Australian Big Bash League (BBL), confirming his involvement with the Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming season.
The confirmation has reignited the expectations to see two of history’s most successful spin masters pitch against each other in a cross-town rivalry during the second BBL season.
With Melbourne Stars expected to sign http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shane-Keith-Warne-c89672, the two greats will have a chance for yet another face-off - both spinners have a collective tally of 2348 international wickets in the record books.
This will be the 40-year-old’s first experience of playing in the Australian domestic cricket after his 2009 deal with Victoria fell through due to his commitments with the national team.
Last year, despite a chance to play in the inaugural BBL, the off-spinner had signed for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wellington-c864 to play in the New Zealand Twenty20 competition, but the Kandy bowler was always keen to play in Australia’s domestic season before his last hurrah.

Currently playing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221 with whom he had played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season V.
"I think it will be interesting to play against [Chris] Gayle because he's one of the best batsmen in T20 and I played with him at the Royal Challengers Bangalore [in the Indian Premier League]. It will be good to play with him or against him," the Lankan
great further added.
For now, Gayle has not been named by any of the eight teams featuring in the league, but the swashbuckling Jamaican is expected to be the major attraction in the upcoming season after a highly successful stint with the Sydney Thunder last season.
With the inclusion of Murali, as he’s lovingly nicknamed, the Renegades will add value to their stakes after losing key players in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brad-Hodge-c1184 to the Stars.
