Question:

Muzzle Breaks on pellet guns.?

I have a Beeman 1040 series and it comes with a 4x32 scope and a muzzle break. I was wondering from experience or someone who is sure,

can you take off the muzzle break?

Can you change the pull on the trigger on this gun?

Thanks

  1. Go to pyramidair.com and read about the gun and also the reviews....

I dont think the mmuzzle break is de-tachable. Why take it off???

    And it should be adjustable.

  2. First of all, it is not a break, it is a brake.

Secondly, it is not really a brake, it is a cocking handle.  As mentioned before, it would be useless as a brake.  I would leave it on for two reasons: it makes the gun easier to c**k, and taking it off may shift your point of impact, because it would change the barrel harmonics.

The trigger on the 1040s that I have seen is adjustable.  Your owner's manual should have a section on trigger adjustment.

  3. That's no muzzle break.

One would be useless on an air-gun.

It's a weight to make your hold steadier, and a

handle to help with the break-barrel pumping chore.

    You can prbably remove it,

but you would probably be unhappy with the result.

A 'springer' airgun needs some muzzle weight to shoot accurately.
