Mx45 u2-cn motherboard

Question

bought a motherboard and all the fans work already had a 478 socket processor but dont know if it works put both togethr heatsink fan kicks in moniter light fleshes on and off but thats it does that mean that my any processor is not compatible or that the processor is naff also dvdrom drive will light up but wont open or close unless i unplug cable from motherboard. anyhelp much appreciated but hard to find compatible processors when Aopen web site dosent list my modle motherboard
